...is a review of the Lush.co.uk website and it's mail order service. I haven't tried any of the products that I ordered as they were ordered as a gift, but I hope you will find this review useful nonetheless, and if I do get round to using any lush products I'll be sure to give them their own review :) ) It's rapidly approaching the time where it will have been a year that my girlfriend and I have been together (an anniversary, if you will). Lush.co.uk It occurred to me when I placed an order on lush.co.uk yesterday that I had never reviewed the Lush website. I’ve used it many a time, both for research and for shopping and so I thought I’d give you a rundown As many of will already know Lush is a fabulous company that makes luxury bath and beauty products out of yummy natural stuff. Most of the ingredients they use are natural and are sourced ethically. Where ever possible they use the ... ...a bit on the pricey side. In line with Lush’s commitment to the environment they use very little packaging. A lot of their products including shampoo come in solid form so they don’t have to use a plastic bottle and obviously having a much smaller moisture content they weigh less so need less fuel to be transported. Advantages: great smells , amazing products Disadvantages: bathbombs.
first discovered lush products when I received it as a crimbo present one year but found I was allergic to the bath bombs but other products I'm fine with and I don't mind paying over £4 for a bar of soap, so worth it and the shop smells so good, even if your just walking past and not even going in the smell lingers down the road for ages after. What is the fuss about Lush? I love how everything is handmade and natural. They sell all sorts of amazing ... ...everything you need to pamper yourself head to toe. What are the prices like? Okay It's not the cheapest , You pay £2.49 for 100grms of soap which is rather expensive but I love it and I feel it's worth it , I was never one of those people who buy a bar of soap because it cost 60p! Lately, I'm back on a Lush kick. Unfortunately much as I like going into the shop, I find it hard to smell each individual product because of the overpowering "Lush Smell". I also find that although the staff are pleasant, they can be a bit quick to pounce and steer you towards certain products which can lead to me spending even more than I had intended to!
Okay, so buying online might not be quite as fun as seeing all the colourful displays, picking ... ...a Lush nearby, or want to try and exercise some restraint, it's a happy medium.
Not only that, it is always fun getting things in the post which don't contain the words "final demand" somewhere. A Lush parcel is one of the funnest things you can get! When I placed my order late on Thursday night, I had no idea it would show up this morning (Saturday), prettily tied up with string and a wax seal! Who needs next day shipping when that's standard, ...

Obviously if you don't have a store nearby, this is a great way to try some of the products but I would definitely stay clear of the more unusual ones in case you don't like them. Bear in mind that most Lush products have strong scents ... ...Also there is a range of Retro Lush items only available online or by good old fashioned mail order and not in the shops. These products have either never been launched or have just never been popular enough to take up a shelf in a Lush shop. If you had an old favourite that you just can't live without, you should still be able to find it in the retro range online.
