First of all i would like to point out that i have signed up to ciao for the sole purpose of sharing my unbelievably BAD experience with this absolutly joke of a company. After ordering my phone on the 19th March I waited patiently to hear back from them, while continuously checking my order status that was stuck on "pending" i decided that i would contact Vodafone (The company i wanted the contract to be on) who advised me that the credit check had been reffered because my bank account is a shared bank account, I told them the name of my shared account holder and GREAT done, in a 5 minute phone call. I waited again patiently until 2 days when i rung them, and had to wait on hold for about 25minutes!! before speaking to someone who said that my phone was OUT OF STOCK !!!!! even though there website declared it as IN STOCK. I checked my e-mailed 10 minutes later and they had issued me a E-Mail asking me the questions that id answered to vodafone 2 days prior!!!!!!! I rang them back and advised that this had been sorted with vodafone so the sales man told me he would contact vodafone and get back in touch with me. i heard NOTHING!!!! so i rang them back again to ask them and he said that there systems were down so they couldn't do anything, WHY DIDN'T HE LET ME KNOW?!!! So finally the next day i was told that they had heard back from vodafone and that it was ok and i had to go through to the "quality checking team" which is where the worse service of all was recieved, I spoke to a girl who said that because i had the account in a joint name with my girlfriend i had to provide proof of this before they would send the phone out!!! I tried to explain that she is in hospital and couldn't get this to her but she continuously interuppted me, was SO rude it was laughable, before telling me that she was cancelling the order and terminating the call!!!!!!!!!!!! i just couldn't believe it, I hadn't even said what i wanted to say!!!! REMEMBER THIS COMPANY WILL DO A CREDIT CHECK ON YOUR ACCOUNT BEFORE DOING THERE OWN SECURITY CHECKS....
There's some decent factual detail in this so I think you have got some potential to expand your review. Perhaps you could add something about what made you decide to buy your phone from them originally - was it the price, the features that the phone had or did you go for it because they offered a good package deal? Obviously the company wasn't straightforward about the terms of the contract - was there any way of finding this out at the time you made the purchase, and would you have proceeded to buy the phone if you had been aware of those terms initially?
