For the many people who knew and loved Napster then Morpheus is definately the best replacement out there for it. Morpheus works a lot like Napster but instead of sharing files between users only, It gets it files from online users and searches the whole of the Internet for a match.
The software is very much like Napster was, and it incorporates a player capable of playing video and sound files.
Unlike Napster it has the capability to search for videos, images, software and documents. When you wish to search for a particular file you can perform a broard search or a narromore concise search down to the point that you want by using the extra search fields. While it is searching it will display the files it has found and the information about it for example. Length, Title, Album, Quality Rating,Bitrate and File Size and estimated download time.
All that is required then to download is to double click on the file and it will begin downloading in the traffic field. From here you can observe the transfer rate and the estimated time of completion. You can also preview the song by playing what has been currently downloaded.
In mid transfer unlike napster you can simply shut off your computer log on again and carry on where you left off when you stopped downloading and it will do this automatically, so this is perfect for the people who would be constntly knocked off-line by call waiting or irritating members of family picking up the phone and disconnecting you, yo can simply carry on where you left off.
Morpheus is a very intelligent piece of software and is downloaded WWW.MusicCity.Com where you click 'download our software' button and it will download withn 5 minutes and unzip itself for installaton on your desktop or selected folder.
Morpheus software incorporates the Musiccity.com webpage so you can view information on new bands and software updates and any other relevent music information.
