They have a phenominal range of DVD's for you to choose from and must have something to cater for everyone's taste. They site is very well laid out and 99% of the titles have a thumbnail of the cover to make sure it is the title you think it is and not some old black and white version of the same film. In fact the other 1% is probably down to your PC not displaying the image!. The whole concept for the site is very simple.
You select the title you want and pay online for it. You receive a confirmation email almost immediately confirming your purchase. The disc is then sent through normal 1st class post to you. It is sent in a sturdy plastic holder not much wider than the disc itself so you know it will go through your letter box and you wont have to trek to the post office next day or when you get home to collect it. The envelope it arrives in also acts as the return envelope and is post paid. The definite advantage of this rental scheme compared to the likes of Blockbuster and your local video store is that you can keep the item for 7 whole days.
When you have finished watching the disc as many times as you want to just pop it bak in the envelope it arrived in, use the self seal strip and pop it back into the post box. They seem to have a very late collection from their office as I recently ordered a disc after 6pm and it still arrived 1st post next day. They new releases seem to be stocked as soon as they become available from the distributor and they have a much wider selection than the likes of blockbuster. When you make your selection it also tells you whether the item is in stock (which upto now they always have been)
They only groan I have isnt even a groan really, it's just me being an awkward sod. I feel that some of the very old titles and those from TV like black adder, friends etc could be slightly cheaper than £2.99. BUT then again I do get them for a whole week dont I?. It's just me wanting to have my cake, eat it, have a candle on the top and have a beer with it!!
All in all 100% service, no cause for complaint. Keep it up MovieTrak.
Advantages: Never have to leave your home for a film now! Cheap. Disadvantages: Some popular DVDs are often out of stock.
...house. Fantastic! The movietrak.com homepage has a nice navigation bar at the top with links to: 'Getting Started', 'Order Review', 'New Releases', 'Coming Soon', 'Top 20 DVDs', and 'Mailing List'. On the left of the page you can click to the various category: 'Comedy, Drama, Thrillers, Romance, Action, SciFi, Independent, Family, Classics.' Below this, is a list of movies 'coming soon', and then the list of the Top 20 DVDs that are being rented. ... ...it's available or not. Unfortunately, movietrak.com still have the problems of DVDs currently on rental... come on... they don't have an inexhaustable supply! You will often find that many of the Top 20 DVDs will be 'Temporarily Unavailable'. Bummer! However, movietrak.com have a massive collection. Just find something else... easy! Rental prices are usually £2.99... with 50p postage and packing. This roughly equates to prices in your local video ...

Advantages: Rent for a week. Disadvantages: Hidden charge for postage.
Movietrak is a site for renting DVD's if you can't face leaving the house. It's also comparable in price to renting from your local Blockbuster, but you get these movies for a week instead of 1 or 2 days. The site has many different pages and lists the movies in genres. New Releases, Thriller, Horror, Comedy etc. Each genre has it's own list. The homepage has FAQ's and also quotes from the media as to how good they are. They have a newsletter that ... ...what the new films are. Select the movie you wish to rent. When you click onto the film it tells you the availability, so you aren't making a wasted trip out and also gives you a lot of info about the film and any DVD extras. If you wish to rent it, click the Rent button. The movie is put into a shopping basket, like most sales sites. Rent any more before heading to the checkout. Input your credit card details and then within a day or 2 your selection ...

Advantages: Bargains, Quick service Disadvantages: None
I’m sure that a lot of you this Christmas got a DVD player. You’ve been used to the faded colours and soundtrack hissing of VHS and realized you couldn’t take it anymore. Some may think that DVD’s cost more to buy than videos. That is true if you decide to do your shopping on the high street. However if you keep your eyes peeled then you can buy DVD’s for next to nothing online. Now I don’t rent out DVD’s, I don’t have the need. If I want to see ... ...it’s good then it’s a keeper, anything bad can be easily traded or sold for the same price, if not more. However some people prefer just to rent rather than buy; yet rental prices can mount up. Movietrak is an online rental service where you can pay £13.95 a month and rent as much as you like. For anyone who rents on a very frequent basis this is not only a great deal but also allows you to exercise than arm that lifts the remote control. I have ...

Advantages: good service, reasonable rates, long hire period. Disadvantages: none
How can it be possible for a company (Movietrak.com) to make a profit? But I guess they must do as they keep on going. Simply put, you place your order for your DVD on their site (including all the latest releases), enter your credit card details, and then sit back and wait for them to come. That's the theory, and shockingly enough it's the practise too. Yes, it actually works exactly like that. Once you get the DVD you have them for a week, before ... ...envelope, and posting them (normal 1st class post). I have hired several times from the company, and have always been satisfied with their service, rates, and delivery. For the small sum of £3.49 (includng p&p) you get a whole week to watch the film at your leisure. How much would that cost at a hire shop? £2-3 per night maybe? ...
