Movietyme is a website selling region 1 DVD's, electronics and games. Sometimes I want to get the best edition of a particular DVD, or maybe a cheaper game that I can get over here, this is where sites like this come in. I have VLC media player on my computer which plays any DVD regardless of it's region and the DS games I buy are region free, so will play on any DS.
The site is laid out Ok, not the best but adequate. It has a lot of information ... ...out in a more clearer way. You also can't right click on any part of the site, which means you can't copy and paste any information, which I agree is only a minor annoyance. I think the search function could be better as well, as the results only come up as a little drop down-like menu with no other information. Again, I feel amazon is better.
A big plus for me about this site is the speed at which they handle pre-orders. Any DVD that I want that ...

Advantages: not really any Disadvantages: bunches beyond bunches
...and when I saw that movietyme.com offered a 'Greta Garbo Video Gift Set Collection'.. featuring her timeless movies of _Camille_... _Ninotchka_... and _Anna Karenina_... and I knew that my friend Jillian would love it because I was getting her addicted to Ms. Garbo...
And so... I ordered it... and though the site said that it was on back order... it also stated that if on backorder... it takes between 4-6 weeks for it to come in and then an additional ... ...they are going to grill movietyme.com in order to claim their incompetence on their insurance company... and that I will be reimbursed for the money I lost... and hopefully one day... I will get an "I'm sorry" out of the website....
To this day... www.movietyme.com has not apologized one time to me for their mistake... It's apparently my fault for ordering anything from this site that practices in deceiving their customers ... Warning for all... ...

Advantages: Very Cheap, Reliable, Latest Releases Disadvantages: Lack of detail in the search function
I've been into DVD for almost 2 years now and if you're a serious collector you will understand the benefits and advantages of R1 DVD. Movietyme is a company that will supply imported R1 DVD to the serious collector at very reasonable prices with free P+P. Their prices are very competitive and the service is reliable. I'm a little different to the average Internet shopper in that i don't have a Credit Card, a tool that is pretty much standard in ... ...on paying by cheque and there is precious few DVD importers who accept this medium. Thankfully Movietyme do and they have been getting my custom since the moment i found their site. A huge bonus in DVD collecting is being able to get films on DVD that will either never see the light of day on British shores or for one reason or another getting a DVD that is far superior to the British equivelent. Thanks to companies like Movietyme the serious collector ...

Advantages: they post most pre-orders before release date Disadvantages: The site is not very good, not all the products have descriptions, basically it is buy or don't buy.
Having used Movetyme since the end of last year, not only have they put there prices up but also they have not fulfilled orders placed in December of 2000, They can be fast, but if you want good service then i suggest you use Play247.com they have fast service and i have recieved all my orders and pre-orders. Also the website is not all that good, when you do a search for a product you cannot purchase the product searched for!! Maybe i will get my ...

These guys are ace for ordering region 1 DVDs. They're very cheap, and as they deliver from the UK, you're NEVER going to have customs hold-ups or tax added on top. Not only that, but they seem to get titles early, and it's not unknown to receive DVDs a good fortnight before they're released in Ammerica. Can't be bad eh :-)
They're cheaper than www.play247.com (another UK based retailer) but probably not as cheap as ordering from america. Guess ... ...price :-) Speed wins it for me...
The only downside is ordering titles that aren't new. You have to have a customer number, but even though I've ordered loads of titles, I've never actually received a customer number. Go figure :-)
I can't recommend this site enough! Order some R1 dvds today (if your player supports them) ...
