Advantages: A fantastic little netbook whcih is lightweight and good looking as well as simple to use!
Disadvantages: Some places charge over the odds for this netbook!!! So beware to shop around!

Last year I put the internet on his mobile phone so he could use that when in work, but I was starting to get annoyed that everywhere we went he would sit on the internet- I was sitting waiting for hospital appointments which he has come with me to keep me company, and he would instead of talking to me, sit on his internet!!!! Also it was quite limited in what it could do, and even started to break his phone because he was using it a lot, it was burning the phone which was starting to get dangerous...

Are ASUS Eee PCs worth the Money?

Asus Xonar D1 - move over creative, your time is up.

Advantages: cheap, works in vista, does the job far better than the competition, optical output!
Disadvantages: limited inputs (see review)

ASUS EEE PC 701 - Small but perfectly formed

Advantages: Size, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Small keyboard, small screen

...or have the whole page in view at once and barely be able to make out the letters. I am being pedantic but it is worth using one before buying. Conclusion Asus have now stopped producing the 701 series and I think this is a great shame. It will never compete with a full size laptpop in terms of performance or features but for around £150 you can have a means of accessing all of your documents and the internet and using add-ons on Mozilla Firefox, you can go some way towards negating these issues. As a back-up to your regular desk-top/lap-top, I can not recommened this machine highly enough....

I have been so impressed by this tiny machine that I am planning to get my own once I have to give back this one that I borrowed from work. So what exactly is a sub-notebook anyway? Well the first thing you notice about the EEE is it's size. It's really small & compact yet has a surprising plastic but tough feel to it. You could be forgiven for thinking that someone got hold of their standard sized laptops and used a shrink-ray on it. The screen measures just six inches by three-and-a-half and has built-in speakers at either side and a webcam at the top for video conferencing. Asus TA-210 with "sticky" stealth-bay

...for this is the usual press-in flip out style. The TA-210 doesn't offer FireWire support on the front panel although the case has a hole in it for the socket, the PCB does not have the FireWire connectivity. The manufacturer on the case is more or less flawless and all of the metal edges are bent back to prevent you cutting yourself. The black spray-painted finish on the case is also very nice and has a slight grainy effect to it. The ASUS logo is etched into both sides of the case and ASUS is printed in white on the front panel. The case offers room for 3 8" case fans and actually comes with an 8" fan on the back. The case offers room for 2 fans on the back and 1 at the front; I am currently using all 3 of the 8" fan spaces. ...For a programmer it is very important to have almost always a pc with him to be able to work and note down his ideas and everything else. The Asus Eee PC 900 it's one of the most suitable notebooks for persons who want a portable tool with them all the time. But like any other thing in this world there are some disadvantages too. I'm not finished with the advantages but we will take a look at them later. The very small memory (according to today's expectations) of only 4G isn't very eye-catching and on top of that today even a telephone has 9G memory. But we should consider the size of it and the features that it has to offer that are almost the same as a normal laptop. You could always put a memory card and a stick to it although....
