JUST SHAKE N VAC

Advantages: eliminates odours from carpets
Disadvantages: smells horrible and too strong

...My dad often goes out and buys really weird, random things, even though normally it is my mum who takes charge of the family shopping. He once went out and bought a couple of bottles of Glade Shake N Vac. He bought it in Wilkinsons as it was going quite cheap on offer. We have a dog and as this eliminates pet odours that get trapped in carpets he thought it would come in handy to freshen up the carpets. I think he was trying to impress my mum by making the house all lovely for her. To use this all you have to do is shake a little over your carpets, leave for a few moments and then hoover it all up. Your carpets are supposed to be left smelling fresh and clean, and your home will feel like new. My dad opened the lid and went round the downstairs shaking this over all the mats and carpets. Then he went up the stairs shaking it over...

Do The Shake n Vac And Put The Freshness Back?

Advantages: None for me
Disadvantages: It smells very artificial

...My friend recently had a new kitchen fitted and gave me lots of half used bits and pieces from under her sink. Apparently she wanted to start again with all new!!!! Crazy if you ask me but as I'm on a budget I wasn't going to say no. One of the things she gave me was Glades Shake n Vac, I have never used this before so I thought it would be a good opportunity to give it a try. 30 years ago our TV screen were bombarded with the Shake n Vac advert. A lady dancing round with her Hoover singing "Do the shake and vac and put the freshness back, do the shake and vac and put the freshness back when your carpet smells fresh your room does too oo everytime you vacuum remember what to do" Shake n Vac is a scented powder that you sprinkle over your carpets and then vacuum up ( dancing and singing is not really necessary...

Bissell Easy Vac Really Does Make Vacuuming Easier

Advantages: Lightweight and easy to move around
Disadvantages: A little noisy and hose tends to clog

.... On noticing no hose or crevice tool, I returned this unused. Next stop, Sainsbury's where I looked at their own brand, basic lightweight cleaner but I found this far too heavy and it didn't look particularly well made. My husband wasn't impressed as he felt the parts would fall off. On food shopping in Asda, I spotted, by chance, the Bissell Easy Vac for a very reasonable price, in my opinion, of £30. I couldn't resist and so It went onto the trolley and to the checkout. ADVANTAGES ************ I am quite pleased with this vacuum. It picks up well which is the main thing. The best thing about this model from my point of view is the fact that it is light in weight and easy to manoeuvre, which is a must for me. It is light enough to carry upstairs. The hose isn't long enough to vacuum the stairs but it is small enough to rest on a stair...

Review of Bissel Easy Vac

No vac?.....my kind of cleaning!

Advantages: Fresh smelling scent that lasts for quite some time.
Disadvantages: Doesn't go as far as freebreeze!

...the weather started getting warmer, and even though I scrub the carpet every time it happens with detergent, when the room gets warm the smell increases and it does tend to become a little acrid and takes your breath a little. I knew there were a few products on the market for disguising the smell, I tried Febreeze but have to say this didn?t cover for very long, so when I spotted this spray and saw the clinching words?.?No vac? I purchased straight away. The product I will now review is - ?1001 no vac carpet and upholstery freshener? The can is white with a blue plastic cap style lid, there were two scents to choose from, if I remember correctly one was a florally scent and the one I choose being called ?gentle breeze?. I of course wanted something strong enough to cover the ammonia smell, but not so strong as to hurt Connor?s chest...

Possibly the best freeze dried coffee - Clipper Organic Coffee

Advantages: Ethical, good taste, available in all major supermarkets. Doesn't turn into Mud!
Disadvantages: Slightly more expensive but worth it!

...Coffee has to be a staple product found in any normal kitchen cupboard. Instant coffee is used the world over and any trip down to your local supermarket will see an aisle full of different varieties giving the buyer far too much choice! Now I am a coffee fiend and I do love my daily freshly ground coffee routine using my espresso machine, however sometimes you just want something quick and easy so this is where my love for Clipper comes in! Clipper Most people will be aware of Nescafe, Gold Blend, Kenco etc but I doubt many of you have heard of Clipper. Part of the Clipper Teas company, Clipper provide a number of coffee varieties including a decaffeinated range. This review shall focus upon the original Clipper organic coffee. Clipper is a fairtrade provider of teas and coffees and all ingredients are fully organic to ensure...

Clipper Organic Tea A Refreshing Change

Advantages: Refreshing
Disadvantages: Expensive

...I drink lots and lots of different types of tea and always try new varieties when I see them available at my local supermarket. I stumbled upon this particular gem however when I was visiting an old friend. It had been a particularly hot day and she decided to have a cup of herbal tea as she thought that it would be a little bit more refreshing. I have tried several types of herbal teas over the years with varied results as I find that some of them smell gorgeous however end up tasting like disinfectant, however I spotted a little green pack in the cupboard which I had not come across before. The name of the product to give it its full title is Clipper pure green tea. I decided that I would give the item a try as I am rather partial to green tea. Apparently it was purchased at Asda for around £1 unfortunately my friend couldn't actually...

Nowt Hipper Than Clipper

Advantages: Fair trade, organic and tasty
Disadvantages: Not cheap

...Now, delawney is a girl who loves her coffee. A little too much. Well, everyone has to have their vices, and coffee is mine. (It's my only one, honest!). Now truthfully any devout coffee drinker knows that instant coffees are just not as good as the real thing. It's just not a patch on the caffeine fix that is the freshly brewed black loveliness of the fresh coffee. But real coffee is time consuming, and you've got to have a nice instant on standby to see you through the day. Don't want to be getting those caffeine withdrawal headaches now do we? So my instant coffee of choice is Clipper Organic. I'm a rather big organic fan, so always give the organic varieties a go where I am able. Clipper is doubly good, as it's also fab and groovily a fair trade product. Not like that evil Nescafe, who remain evil even though they did...

Don't get nicked-get Nicky's hair clipper

Advantages: Much Cheaper than the hairdressers!
Disadvantages: DIY! Messy hairs clogging the combs/attachments!

...SHEEEZ......! After spending what was for me, an almighty small fortune in Boots the other day I was handed a nice little free £10.00 voucher to spend from a choice of 4 different electrical products to spend in store -yah only 4.... and guess what was the second cheapest thing on offer? Yep,that's right-a "Nicky Clarke's Mains Hair Cutting set. " For men, naturally. As both my other half and my youngest son have their hairs clipped ultra short I thought it time to update aswell as upgrade our old clapped out clippers that are frankly-worse than nothing. So....INTRO FIRST ...... >>>>>> WHO IS NICKY CLARKE ? <<<<<<<< You would have to be from another planet or living in solitary confinement to not know or hear of Nicky Clarke. He's quite a well known hairdresser both in the media and his...

A cuppa Clipper? Mine's white with blackcurrant

Advantages: upliftng taste, cleans the palette, natural, not sickly sweet
Disadvantages: not fair trade unlike others in the Clipper range, fairly expensive

...that not lead you to believe I am some sort of snob or connoisseur. I am no Edward Bramah (founder of the Tea and Coffee Museum, London) who I once heard speaking (at a short talk on the history of tea) about how he deplores the very act of flavouring tea (like Earl Grey, which is tinged with lemon and bergamot). I?m not particularly fussy about the receptacle either. Porcelain or dumpy mug it matters not a jot to me. I think that my growing taste for tea happened a few years ago when I stumbled across The Tea House in Covent Garden, London and tried a packet of loose-leaf green tea. Now I?ve found tea has some hidden depths. And so I?ve been keen to hunt out unusual varieties in the shops. THE PRODUCT Clipper - Organic White Tea with Natural Blackcurrant Flavour ? 25 tea bags is one of my latest finds. ?The finest...
