FIFA 2008 (PC)

Advantages: Best yet, plenty to do, hours of fun
Disadvantages: Need to be a regular game player and fairly familiar with the game.

Let's get things straight here, I have asolutely no interest in football, especially of the game variety AND epecially of the pc game variety... ...I used to play this game when I was a kid, it has been out since 1997, and I think we got it when we got one of our computers (you remember when you got random games with your computers!!), and I used to play it! ...your dynasty survives, you can't really lose. You can concentrate on conquering Europe and empire-building, if that's your thing. My favourite aspect of the game is the characters. It has a certain amount in common with the Sims- you can find a spouse for your ruler, have and aducate your children, bring them up to be vaguely decent future rulers, which is hard if you marry someone a bit too closely related, and all your children end up inbred. Then you die, and play as your heir. You can even play around with your succession laws, which will to a certain extent allow you to chose an heir. You actually learn about semisalic law and things like that, and there aren't many computer games that teach you those kinds of things. MURDER OF THE ORIENT EXPRESS (PC 2006)

Advantages: Good actor voices, good atmosphere and you do get to solve crimes.
Disadvantages: Some changes compared to the book, very repetitive, lacks locations to explore.
