Advantages: You may get the job! Disadvantages: You may not...
...I consider myself a well-experienced cabin crew interviewee. Having sat three interviews and getting a job at the fourth interview I think I know a little about the process to help guide others!
The cabin crew interview is like no other interview, partly a modelling contest (for some airlines, particularly the Middle East ones) partly a social event (you are expected to get on well with the other candidates!) and partly an interview. Thousands of people apply to be cabin crew every year, if you are invited to an interview, well done! You did well to reach this stage.
Most interviews are assessment centres and either at an airline HQ or a hotel near the airport. Depending on the airline you may be sitting maths and English tests, language tests, group tasks and finally the dreaded two to one interview! You can expect to take about 3...
Advantages: A clear outline of Obama's thoughts on the current state of U.S politics Disadvantages: Obama often slips into long-winded anecdotes and analysis
...Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama is the part-autobiographical, part-historical and part-philosophical release from the newly elected American President.
Penned in 2006, long before Obama had made any public declarations about whether to run for Presidential office, the book combines elements of Obama's own political life - from his early career as a constitutional law lecturer, to his decision to first run for the Illinois Senate - with his thoughts on the increasingly polarised nature of American politics. In doing so Obama invokes examples from recent history as evidence of how the sharp political divisions in American society have occurred, whilst somewhat nostalgically refering back to eras gone by. As a result Obama seeks to weave together the past with his own experiences in order to outline how America can revive...
Advantages: Great tasting chips, better for you than other chips Disadvantages: Still prefer home cooked chips
...I have to admit I am a real chip fan. I know they are not exactly healthy for you but I just can?t resist. I tend to make my own chips as I believe homemade chips just can?t be beaten, but I do tend to keep a bag of frozen chips in for emergencies. I have tried most brands on the market, both cheap and expensive but I tend to stick to McCain as I believe they offer the best quality frozen chip. I do especially like their crinkle cut version.
~The Product~
McCain crinkle cut chips are a real chip in my opinion. They are properly cut and have a nice thickness to them. They could in no way be confused with fries which are quite thin, and rather pointless to me as they contain very little potato and more fat. These are real chips and could almost be described as chunky.
McCain are proud of the fact that their chips are made from...
Advantages: good story, really interesting, gripping Disadvantages: the tenses (see review)
...it would be hard for any author to have to set a story out this way. The only author that comes to mind that has not only a weird way of telling a story, but who is such a clever author is Meg Cabot... However Cabot has yet to write a book quite like this one in the same format... And I sure hope Anne Rice's books get better and better.
The story line is pretty simple. You start off by following this young interviewer who is also a journalist. Recently a guy, called Louis, is claiming to be a vampire, told this interviewer that he wants his story to be known. So we follow the interviewer who is going to see this vampire.
Louis then decides to tell the interviewer about his life, how he was before and how he was when he turned and then the rest of his life up until now. However the interviewer wants more and more and so therefore...
Advantages: Tasty chips, good fluffy potato within the chip, cook well, crinkle cut makes a welcome difference Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands on the market
...When it comes to deciding what I am going to cook for my tea there are always 2 options that I can take, be all prepared and plan something before I g to work, either slow cook something or take something out of the freezer or there is the other option, where I can be nice and lazy and cook something really simple when I get home of an evening, I try to be good and go for the first option but when I am not being quite so good and prepared I like to look inside of my freezer and throw something into the oven, that said I do like to ?throw? something in that I s not necessarily going to taste processed or greasy and this is where I find a bag of McCain Oven Chips come in really handy, something that tastes great that is not over processed or greasy, a quick meal fix that will go with many dishes!
McCain is a privately owned company...
Advantages: Convenient and kids love em! Disadvantages: Dry and bland tasting
...I took my 6 year old son on the weekly food shop with me in the half term holidays - big mistake! His little eyes lit up at the sight of all the goodies on Tescos shelves. When walking through the freezer section he noticed some McCain Micro Chips in the freezer and asked if he could have some as his best friend liked them! I'm not a fan of frozen chips as a whole but to keep him happy I threw a packet in the trolley.
Each packet of Micro Chips is a small, black, rectangular cardboard box. The box has a perforated front which you rip open before you microwave them. When I opened the front up the chips looked quite cheap in appearence. The chips themselves are quite long and thinly cut.
You get 4 packs of Micro chips packaged together within a clear cellophane wrapper. These are priced at £1.41 for the pack of 4. Sometimes you can...

Review of McCain Micro Chips
...My son at the moment is a very fussy eater and refuses to eat any sort of potato, but the one thing he does love is McCain Smiles.
Packaging
On the front of the red plastic packaging is a picture of a sunflower, when you look closely you can see that it is actually sunflower petals and in the middle is a smile which I think is very clever!
When I took the smiles out of the bag they looked very pale in colour, they are round with of course a smiley face, there are holes for the eyes and a big smiley mouth.
Cooking Instructions
You can either grill or oven cook the smiles, I use the oven at gas mark 7 and they usually take 12- 15 minutes to cook.
Once the smiles come out of the oven they will look golden in colour and look very inviting to eat!
Ingredients
Potatoes, Dehydrated Potato (contains...

Review of McCain Smiles
Advantages: Only 5% fat Disadvantages: Took ages to cook
...As a family we love chips but as much as I love home made chips I really hate eating food that is deep fried.
Last week while I was doing my shopping online I noticed that Tesco`s were doing an offer on McCains chips at just £1 for a 907g or 2lb bag so I decided to buy a pack.
Packaging
The chips I bought are oven chips, they come in a plastic orange bag. On the front is a picture of a sunflower and potates with the McCain logo and there is also like a green ribbon that tells me that there is only 5% fat and the chips are prepared in Sunflower oil and Cholestral Free.
It also says on the front of the pack that per 135g serving oven cooked is
*Fat 5.1g - 7% GDA
*Saturates 0.5g 3%
*Sugar 0.8g 1%
*Salt 0.1g 2%
Ingredients
Potatoes & Sunflower

Advantages: Amazing movie Disadvantages: Wanted it to go on and on and it did but not for long enough!
...In my opinion Interview with the Vampire has to be one of the most awe inspiring vampire movies of its time. With an all star cast including Brad Pitt (Fight Club, Mr and Mrs Smith, troy), Tom Cruise (Top Gun, Mission Impossible, Minority Report), Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro, Desperado), a young Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman) and more. The story itself is loosely based around the book Interview with the Vampire written by Anne Rice. The movie was directed by Neil Jordan, who has also directed many other memorable films including 'The end of the Affair' and 'The Crying Game.'
The movie begins with the meeting of the young reporter Daniel (Christian Slater) and Louis (Brad Pitt) meeting together in the room where for the duration of the movie Louis will unveil his story to the man. Daniel due to his inquisitive nature soon finds that...
Advantages: equal opps is fairer on everyone Disadvantages: procedure can seem weird at first
...Congratulations! You followed my advice on writing application forms, and have been invited for a job interview at a public or voluntary sector organisation. The following advice should help you prepare and perform to your best advantage, and if you are the best person on the day you will be offered the job.
The first thing to remember is that you are much, much closer than you were at the previous stage. Some jobs may attract hundreds of completed forms, but convening a panel is costly and complicated and is unlikely to be done for more than one day, which means about 6 interviews. And they’re not going to bother interviewing anyone who does not meet the essential criteria on the person specification (see previous op)… this means you have already satisfied them that you can do the job. All you have to do now is...
