...Tesco Tomato Puree Having a tube of this tomato puree in the cupboard is a complete must for me as it really is so very useful. I have recently found out that it is a wonderful thing to spread on to a crackerbread in place of cheese spread and therefore I probably have been using it more than I normally would. The Tesco Tomato Puree comes in a tube which contains 200 grams of the product. It costs nearly 50 pence and is cheaper than buying a branded version of the puree. The product itself is basically a double concentrated tomato like paste. The tube is made from a bendy type of metal and has a screw cap which is easily removed and on first use the metal seal over the hold needs piercing which is done with the point inside the plastic lid. The puree flows out easily from the tube and the tube design works well...

...I like to use fabric conditioner with my wash, but don't like to pay loads for it! I've found that a lot of the cheaper brands are just as good as the pricier ones, and with a recent online shop ordered myself a bottle of Tesco's pure fabric conditioner. The fabric conditioner is called Pure and the front of the bottle shows a picture of a baby, which would suggest it is suitable for washing your children's clothes. It does say on the back however, that no fabric conditioner can be guaranteed suitable for sensitive skin. I don't have children but I do suffer from eczema, and have an allergy to 2 in 1 washing powders, so I am always a little cautious when trying a new brand, and thought as this was more gentle than the highly fragranced ones it may be better for me. ...Some time ago, when I walked into my Local (Cambridge) HMV, I noticed some posters advertising a little card, ?HMV Pure Points?. I wandered what it was, and so when I was paying for my purchases, I enquired with the guy on the tills. The Basics HMV Pure Points, as the name might suggest, is the reward card offered by the shop HMV. Like all other reward cards, you earn points when you spend money in store, or online, the remuneration rate is 1 point per penny. So, spend £2.99 and get 299 points. The first difference to other reward cards, is that it costs money to join, currently this is £3.00, though when I joined, it was £5.00. However, what is a bonus to that, is that the spend gives you your first points. Since I had spare money at the time, I signed up straight away, though, I guess it could put some people off...

Pure and Simple Every Time!

...Recently, whilst listening to this very radio, I heard the news that by 2015 the UK government plans to switch over to digital transmission only. I'm a little concerned about how I might be able to listen to the radio in my car in future, along with about 99% of the UK population apparently, but in my kitchen, with this Pure Radio, we are good to go. What's in the Box? Being somewhat "early adopters" in our house, due to my gadget-freak husband, this is actually the second Pure radio we have owned, it's the third generation of this radio, we previously had the very first version. This model has a few improved features which I shall mention later, most notably it has FM as well as digital reception, which may or may not be a future proof aspect. It's called a "Portable" radio, which is actually a bit of a misnomer in my opinion...

...After my last unsuccessful purchase of softener this time I decided to go for a completely different brand and smell so I chose the Tesco Pure bottle to try. I have to say I was very pleased with the results. ~~THE BOTTLE~~ The softener comes in a clear plastic bottle showing the white liquid inside, this is handy as it means you can easily see how much you have left.
