Advantages: Easy to use, Lots of functions
Disadvantages: On one occasion lost a save file from corruption

...Got this little bundle of joy for christmas and wow what a purchase. I thought at first that it would be very difficult to use and install the operating system onto but it was just a case of downloading the software and extracting it, then copy and paste onto your micro sd card! The same with ROMS and music/video, just a case of drop and drag. The R4 card is very easy to use and has options such as changing your background (skins) making your ds customisable. Games load super fast and run just like normal. Games are and programs are quite easy to find aswel with a bit of internet searching on forums etc. I have encountered one problem so far and that is my pokemon games will not save the file, or the save file keeps corrupting (thats what i get for playing kids games) but it may just be a dodgy download. the music player is quite good...

Verbatim, Very Good, Or Very Slow?

Advantages: They can copy up to 120 minutes, or 4.7 GB worth of data
Disadvantages: They are very slow and are a long process to copy onto the disk

..., says 8x certified (which I have no idea what it means), advanced AZO, RW DVD+R and 4.7GB/ 129min. now like all girls, I don't know what half of this means, so I will look on the rest of the box, and inside the box for anything that may help me to understand this. On the left hand side, it says faster recording speed and superior resistance to UV light, and high quality and sound with superb reliability. So I sort of understand this part. What it means is from what I can understand is that it can record sound really well, the pictures that are playing are of good quality and that it records really quickly. High quality photos and build from compact camera

...The Casio QV-R4 at first glance is very compact and feature packed. It is a 4 megapixel camera which allows for A4 photos to be printed with excellent detail. The case is all metal and feels very sturdy. Mine has had several knocks and still works fine with no visible marks. The screen is of adequate size to see all the details and the selection wheel is clearly labelled and easy to use. As far as using the camera goes there is a very simple point and click setting where everything is automatic. There is also a fully manual mode if required where the user can set exposure time from 1/2000th of a second to 2 seconds, as well as a choice of aperture size and manual focus. The flash can also be changed from automatic to no flash, fill flash and red-eye reduction flash. Filters are also built in B/W, sepia, red, green, blue, yellow...

An Ovation for my Ovatio

Advantages: sharp tools stored in the bowl, 1.5 kg capacity, blender and juicer as well as main attachments, excellent value

Quality branded DVD-R's from TDK

Advantages: Reputable and reliable
Disadvantages: Bad colour

...I paid about £20 from Adsa for the pack of 100 TDK DVD-R's (4.7Gb, 16 x speed), which I consider to be great value for a reliable, reputable make such as TDK. I have used about half of the discs so far, mainly for films but also for backing up data, photos etc, from the PC. I have not encountered a single faulty disc, as of yet. They seem very reliable, and have a write speed of upto 16 x, although I have not been able to test this as my DVD writer only writes at a maximum 4 x. My only grumble with the discs is the colour. They are printed a metallic blue colour, with a pattern and the TDK logo on. While this is very nice to look at, it isn't very good for writing on with a black marker. Space (to write on the disc, not capacity) is limited because of this....

King of blank media!

Advantages: High quality, low cost!
Disadvantages: None!

...branded disks over the years, and Sony are definitely the best that I have used, from a quality and cost point of view. A common problem with many other brands is that they will only play movies on certain makes of DVD players, but the Sony disks have played on several different DVD players for me without fail. The Sony DVD-R can hold up to 4.7Gb of information, which is standard, and are of a 'write once' capability. The disks can store video, audio and multimedia files of any kind, and can burn up to a maximum of 4x speed, although there are also disks available that burn up to 8x & 16x speed. If you want high quality DVD-R disks for all your multimedia purposes, then I would highly recommend Sony....
