I found out about my search funds through another reviewer and so I thought I'd check it out. The site is quite good and is a good way of earning some extra cash for doing something you would do anyway whilst online!

What is it?
The site is a search system that allows users to earn a small amount of cash for every search they do on the web. Users must first of all sign up and then set their search bar to the sites but it is very quick and easy to do.

Signing up:
To sign up you will need to go the homepage and then simply click on the link to sign up. It will ask some basic details that literally only take a few minutes to do and then once you have done this it will ask you to set your homepage for the web to their homepage as your default search page. Normally you can see if this has been done by a small search bar that comes up in the top right hand corner of the screen on your PC that has your name in it.

Using it:
The website uses yahoo as it's main search provider. To actually do a search you can click to go to your homepage and on this page is a search box which you can type in or you can use the small box in the top corner of your screen. It really is just a case of doing a search and hey presto you'll have earned money for it! Each search is different how much you earn as I did a check and it worked out at 2p for one and then next time I just did one search it was a 1p so it varies but more often I get about 2p per search so not bad really!

Your account:
Once you are signed up you can log in anytime to check your account balance and how many searches you've done in total and that day. You can also then amend personal details and set up the details for how you want to be paid which can be done by either Paypal, Bank transfer or International bank transfer.

Payment:
Payment is done automatically every time a user reaches £20. They do it on a monthly basis but payment is delayed so they can check the account before paying out. For example, if you reach payout by end of January you'll then receive that payment by mid March.
When you log into the site too to see how much you've earned you'll also notice that any money earned from searches for the previous day is not added for another 24hrs which is to make sure money has not been earned in a fraudulent way.

Fraud:
They do have a system in place to check if users are just doing searches for the sake of earning money - they reported they they came across one person who had done 17,000 in one day! How did they honestly think they'd get payment for that anyway!!! But they do recognise if somebody is abusing the system and so don't try to be clever! If you are caught they will shut your account so it's not worth it as after all you're still getting free money.

Other things:
The site is going through some changes at the moment to make it even better so soon they will hopefully have google set up too as a search page and other things like google gadgets.

You can refer friends who will then earn and you will earn from them without taking any money away from their earnings. Then if they refer you earn more again as well as them also then earning extra so it is well worth doing this as eventually a large group of you could potentially earn quite a bit! If you do refer a friend then you can also then track how much you have earned from them but not see their earnings which is great!

Messages are posted on the homepage when users log in with red highlights so you should never miss anything important.

Overall opinion:
I think this is a great concept and a great site overall - after all I am on the net most days and generally do a search each day at least once or twice sometimes a lot more so to think I am getting paid for doing that whilst not even really doing anything different is fab!
Some people have commented that they prefer google so would not use it because of this but, in my opinion why not sign up and then use their search system - if you don't find the answer you need from their search you can then always check google but at least you will have been paid too!
