...you first visit arrive at neopets.com it can all seem a bit confusing as there is so much to do and so much going on. The homepage is layed out very much like the rest of the site. There is a banner at the top advertising other parts of the neopets site as well as off site links to sponsors. This is annoying but important as it enables neopets to be free to its users. You do not have to pay a penny for any of the sites features, and this makes the ... ...navigation bar down the left had side of the site. This also features on every page on the site. The home page is then filled with news about the site and the all important "sign up" button. This is really the only time you need to use the homepage, so go on, sign up.

Neopets has to be one of the best websites I've ever had the pleasure to register with. There is so much to do on this website that it is quite hard to pick the best parts to review it but I will do my best to highlight what I consider are the most interesting parts of Neopets and also to point out some of the problems I've had in the past.
For those who don't know about Neopets it was originally opened in 1999 as ... ...These aren't your run of the mill pets like cats, dogs, hamsters etc. The type of pets you look can look after go by the exotic names of 'Shoyru', 'Mynci', Kacheek' and 'Blumaroo' to name but a few. In fact, at the moment there are over 50 different pet species to choose from and more are added all the time. i was first introduced to neopets by my friends who told me it was the most addictive site she had ever been on. at first i didn't believe her. i thought how can a virtual pet website be addictive. but its true. this site is very addictive! so be warned, if you go on this site you may forget that there is still the real world out there. so now i guess you will want to know what is this virtual pet site all about and how do you use it? if you haven't ... ...but just be patient and you will soon get the hang of it.
