This site has to be one of the best ideas ever. It caters for all ages, allows you to be as ambitious as you like and spend as much time as you like - but I can guarentee that once you start playing that is it!
When you first sign up you choose your pet - and there are loads to choose from!! All different colours, breeds, sizes...its pretty hard. The currency in Neopia is NPs (NeoPoints) whichyou can use to buy everything really! I'm not too sure as to the actual object of the game as such, but there is fun to be had at all levels.
The best thing to do when an account is first opened is to start up a shop. You can sell loads of different things here (hopefully at a profit) to buy things for your pet(s), to incresae your shop size, to play games or to invest in the stock market (they got everything here!).
In my humble opinion, the way to have the best fun with neopets is to earn loads and loads of NPs, then you can spend and do just about what you want! The shop is the first thing to do. The sooner you can make your shop bigger the better - more other players will visit and you're sure to have a big revenue!
The stock market is another good investment - buy some shares in a company when they are low and watch them grow! Playing games is fun - once again theres stuff for all ages - including a Neopian lotttery!
You can also explore the world - deserts, mountains, islands, cloud cities...theres stuff to do in every one. Guilds are another great feature of the game. There are thousands and thousands of guilds set up by different members - they are clubs in a way, where members can meet, hold competitions and help each other out.
