I have had Neutradol before and to be honest I hated the smell it had, although it did 'do what it says on the tin'.
But I was shopping the other day and saw this on the shelf and thought that I might as well give it another go. Now, our house does'nt smell, infact people comment on how nice it smells, but you can smell your own house can't you?! And you dont like it!
This is were Neutradol comes in.
... ...the can is the word Neutradol in white with the saying 'The worlds No1 Deodriser' underneith
It states 'Improved formula banishes bad smells leaving clean, fresh air'. The can has a blue background and a blue push-button lid.
How much was it?
I got this fro around £1.20 in Asda, so its not bad considering the crap air-fresheners like Haze and Glade are around 99p. I would rather pay 20p extra for one that ... more
I am fed up of buying loads of different types of air fresheners that just dont work. I mean you get a normal shops own brand aerosol, or Glade or something, and it just drops to the ground as soon as you spray it!
Same goes for plug in fresheners, you plug them in, and the smell lasts for two hours before it stops!

This is were Neutradol comes in.
What does it look like?
There's no pictures of flowers on this tin! Neither is it plastered in waves, fruit, pine trees..... Its plain, it's blue and its eye catching at the same time.
At the top of the can is the word Neutradol in white with the saying 'The worlds No1 Deodriser' underneith
It states 'Improved formula banishes bad smells leaving clean, fresh air'. The can has a blue background and a blue push-button lid.

How does it smell?
Well, it has a rather strange smell. When I say 'strange', I mean unique. Theres no other smell like it.
Like it says on the tin, it leaves the air smelling clean and fresh! And thats what it smells of, clean fresh air. No flowers, no lemons, just nice fresh smell.
Does it work?
Do you need to ask this really? Yes it does, spray it in the toilet, in the kitchen after cooking something like kippers, use it in the living room where the cats have slept on the sofa all night, and use it in the bedroom to get rid of that 'morning smell' after you have had a booze up the night before.
And it WILL get rid of the smells.
You can even use it in the car, when your shoping has fallen all over the place on the back seat and the milk has burst!
What else is in the neutradol range?
The most popular other product is the Neutradol Gel Pot, which is like a gel air freshener, but it comes in a small white pot, with holes in the top, filled with blue gel. But its so small and un-colourful, that you can hide it anywhere.
Also available is Neutradol Toilet Cleaners-Liquids, Foaming Tablets, Rim Blocks. When I say 'available' I mean MSG who make it, say they are, but I havnt seen them in the shops for years. We used to get the toilet liquid as it was good.
You can get fabric fresheners, car products etc...just take a look at www.neutradol.com
Where can I get it?
Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Safeway, Morrisons, Booths, Wilko's-theres a full list on the site.
Value for Money?
Yes!

Advantages: Neutralises odours Disadvantages: none unless you really hate the smell
...throw at the house!
Neutradol actually offers me a good solution. I am not going to mask the smell but am going to neutralise it.
~~So, how does it work?~~
The Swiss company which produces these sprays claims that it contains more than 50 ingredients which attack bad odours and leave you with clean fresh air.
They claim that they are constantly improving the product so that it will always and forever be the number one odour netraliser.
Good ... ...fresh Swiss mountain air in my house.
~~Product and Packaging~~
This comes in a 400ml spray can, with, unusually for this type of product, no pretty pictures of flowers, trees or laughing people.
the spray itself is a fine mist which does indeed smell fresh. there is no real cloying smell of flowers or anything discernible, but really just a fresh smell.
~~How do I use it?~~
It's safe to use round children and pets so no need to banish little ...

Advantages: SWIFTLY EXTERMINATES NASTY EMBARRASSING SMELLS Disadvantages: NOT EASY TO OBTAIN THE PRODUCT
...So what's to be done? NEUTRADOL that's what! Neutradol is a registered trade name for an item which was developed by Swiss Technology in 1963 (presumably after they'd gone as far as they could go with cuckoo clocks). It is produced in good old Blighty by M.S. George Ltd. Richmond TW9 2RG.
Now the clever trick with Neutradol products (all of them ... and there's a fair range) is that they're non-toxic deodorizers. In Neutradol-speak: "Other products" ... ...are there?
b) How does Neutradol distinguish between odours that are bad, and those which are OK? c) Where do the broken-up malodorous molecules finish up?
d) Has this non-toxic product been tested on animals? I checked the website ~ www.neutradol.com ~ and clicked on the "frequently asked questions" option. D'Ohh ... am I thick or what? Absolutely NO-ONE else has had to ask either a) b) c) or d). So I've emailed the manufacturers, and will update ...

Advantages: Smells nice, covers up well Disadvantages: Cover up doesn't last, it doesn't treat the problem just the symptom
...here is a review on neutradol deofab fabric deodorant, from a purely human perspective. This deodorant comes in a royal blue spray can. It has pictures of various items of clothing and soft furnishings on the front. the lettering on the can is a light mauve/purple colour. It promises 'just cleaned freshness' and stated that the sprayed on liquid dries quickly. The fine spray does dry very quickly but i didn't think that the resulting freshness was ... ...coverted up with yet another aerosol spray'. The scent actually made me sneeze and I must admit that i was tempted to rub my nose on the carpet, along side the dog. I might actually have done this if it wasn't quite so far down to the floor, and, then, of course, there's the getting up again. On the back of the can is a list of possible uses for this product. Safely penetrates all fabrics and neutralises all bad odours including the following: Smoke ...

Advantages: Instantly works Disadvantages: Keep out of reach of children
Yes, it's another of my toilet products, I told you I was obsessed about having the little girls room clean and fresh.
Well once again as I lurk around in the depth of the pound shops, seeking that super bargin of a lifetime. I came across this little beauty.
They know my name now in the pound shop, how sad is that? Anyway back to the product in hand or in loo, as you might say.
Neutradol Quick Spray does exactly what it says on the box. You get a little canister of air freshner which fits inside a white plastic flat ball, once you have put it all together you can then press the top of the ball and it sprays a jet of airfreshener into the room.
This doesn't contain CFC's but don't spray it onto polished furniture or you may regret it. Keep out of reach of children as they may think it's a toy.
This of course cost me 1 pound ...
Advantages: Cheap, smells great Disadvantages: looks ugly!!!
and a half after it has been sprayed, and another plus point is that it actually deodorises, not just covers up smells.
~Price and Availability~
I bought this from Poundland, and surprisingly it cost me £1. I haven't seen this sold anywhere else.

~My Verdict~
I do like this air freshener, it was fairly cheap, and seems to last a long time. I've had mine about a month and despite spraying at least twice a day, there's still some left. The only down side is the ugly white plastic unit, it's too bulky to be practical and looks cheap and nasty. Like they say though, it's what's inside that counts, and I have to say I'm really impressed with the actual spray- it's fantastic! ...
Advantages: Works a treat and lasts Disadvantages: still thinking of what to put here
"
Once you get past all these declarations of war upon the smell factor, you are now ready to understand how to use this ultimate weapon.
To open twist the cap. Simply prime the pump with one or two presses, then two to three sprays will usually be sufficient for an average sized room.
Spray towards the ceiling in the centre of the room.
At this stage I recommend you shut your eyes, and retreat fast, as it descends in a fine mist. If you prefer to continue the rest of the day thinking everything smells Neutradol-like, stay put.
If it does get in your eyes, wash with water. (they say so)
I got a 125ml bottle in the highstreet chemists, setting me back £2.25. expensive you think?
Well considering it holds "up to 700 sprays", that ain't bad!
What we want, is to kill the odour, not cover it with cheap(er) products. And this ...
