A haven for scientific research

Advantages Nice archive
Disadvantages Only free for 7 days!
After a two day discussion on a newsgroup about an article I could only just remember I was told the article in question was from New Scientist. The actual article was printed in 1997 (November 15th)
Being a poor student I checked out the site hoping for free unrestricted access. Unfortunately this is unavaliable unless you subscribe to the magazine! However, the next best thing is a free 7 day access for students on the site. This is fantastic news for us poor students, but obviously should you require the research after the 7 days you have to stump up (they do good student rates as well)If you are already a subscriber, check out the label on your magazine when it next comes through your door. It gives you free access to their entire site for the duration of your subscription.

New Scientist eh, I recall rushing to read this every Thursday when I was a student. Shame, about not having some free subscriptions, perhaps your library or department can get the offline journal..I still get alerts from the New Scientist Newsletter -that's free! (btw, as I haven't logged onto the site in ages is the navigation , speed ok?)
