I have been using Next on-line for a few years now, as my nearest next was miles away. Due to moving my nearest Next now has stopped doing Children’s clothes so this is where the On-Line shop comes in very handy for me.

**HISTORY**
In 1982 the first Next stores opened in the UK. From launching their stores they then launched the Next Directory their very own catalogue back in 1988. Following the catalogue they then launched an online version their website which launched in 1999.

**HOME PAGE**
At the top you have all the categories; you can also request a catalogue, sign up for e-mail offers. Go to your account, and can also log in before or after you shop. There is a quick shop part where all you need to do is type in the catalogue number for each product you wish to order.

**CATEGORIES**
Women’s section – Tailoring, Going Out, Smart Casual, Casual wear, Swim wear, Ski wear, Maternity, Lingerie, Night wear, Shoes, Accessories, Petites, and the Latest Additions.

They cater for all shapes and sizes and from short to tall. I have always had problems buying my bra size which is a DD, as most bras in my size are plain and boring, but with next you get offered your size bra in lovely sexy designs. Now I can pay up to £30 for bra’s but next offer them from as little as £11.99 in my size.

Men’s section – Tailoring, Smart Casual, Casual, Ski wear, Swim wear, Shoes and Accessories, Nightwear and Underwear, and Gift Ideas.
They offer a wide selection of men’s wear, and cater for all needs.

Children’s section – Newborn, Girls 3 months – 5 years, Girls 3 – 16 years, Girls Shoes and Accessories, Boys 3 months – 5 years, Boys 3 – 16 years, Boys Shoes and Accessories, Toys, School wear, and Ski wear.

I have never shopped in the girls section. I buy most of Jordon’s clothes from here, even though Jordon is 5 he wears next bottoms which are size 3 as I find the length tend to be a little on the long side for Jordon, but with there tops I go for bigger as find some tops are a bit short in length, I like them to cover he’s bum specially in the cold winter months.
Jeans you would pay from £9.99, I paid £50 for a pair of Diesel jeans for Jordon no different just the name tag.

Homeware section – Christmas, Lounge & Dining, Home Office, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Accessories and Gifts, Lighting, Pets, Kitchen, Electrical, and a Wine Selection.
I do find there Home range a bit dearer than most other places, but you do get what you pay for.

Gifts section – For Women, For Men, For Children, For the Home, Christmas, Fresh Flowers, and Wine Selection.

I have purchased a few gifts from next as Christmas presents. For a really nice ‘Define’ Gift Bag which contains, foam bath, shower gel, body lotion, hand cream and bath crystals in a gold gift bag for £4.99. I have purchased a few of these as you never know there is always at least one person that turns up over Christmas as a surprise, they also do a similar for men which I have also purchased, they also come boxed as well.

**HOW TO ORDER**
You can use quick shop where you can type the catalogue number, or search an item. You can click on the picture, where a pop up appears where you can select colour and size. It will then be added to your basket if the item is sold out it will direct you straight to your basket where you can delete the item or select a different size.
Once you have finished your shop, you can view your basket which will also tell you if the item is in stock or delayed by so many days. You can also abandon your order at any time before checking your order out.

**HOW TO PAY**
You can pay via Credit Card only no debit cards on-line.
Statement, you can pay all or a minimum payment set by Next, pay by Cheque, pay at a bank, post office. Or call Next which is a self service where you will use your credit card on a automated line.

**DELIVERY**
Delivery does cost £3.50 no matter how small or big your order is. (Most other catalogues offer free delivery). You get to select your chosen day, with next day option. My last order I placed was on Wednesday I chose Friday for my order to be delivered, some items did turn up on Thursday. You can also choose a time which can be before 1pm or after 1pm.

Other catalogues don’t offer this service or selecting a time and date. You can also get your order delivered to your nearest Next store which I have not used.

Your items turn up in a sealed blue Next carrier bag with handle. For shirts and top’s and suits arrive on coat hangers which are sealed in a large Next bag un folded.

**RETURNS**
Returns are free and easy, call the courier, Next, or return via a Post Office, you can also return your items in a Next store.
All returns are free and must be sent back within 14 days to be credited to your account.
So you get a 14 day home approval service ‘Try before you buy’

**ACCOUNT CARD**
The Account Card is free, you can use it to purchase goods in the store where the items with go on your monthly statement with no fee’s at all. There is no APR either.

**E-MAIL**
From time to time, you get offers via email such as there sale at the end of season with links. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of order, and also payment if paid on-line

**OFFER’S**
As above you receive offers via e-mail and also postal orders with order code’s to get free delivery, and order codes to win trip’s and offers. You do get very few offer's sent.

**OVERALL**
The clothing range is their own entire make. I find that with Next clothes they wash up nice and don’t lose there shape at all.
I have only been disappointed with one item, which I purchased for Jordon’s birthday which is the Star Gazer which cost £24.99.
Star Gazer Watch hundreds of stars and constellations project on to your ceiling and walls from this home planetarium. CD-ROM included to learn about the night sky. Features handheld Meteor Maker™ which creates streaking comets and meteors. Requires 5 x AAA batteries. 226-099-G48

With this I found the bulb to be to power full. The 5 x AAA batteries last for a night if your lucky even with using Duracell ones. It’s worked out to be an expensive gift considering you have to re-place the batteries every night.
Apart for that have been happy with the service all round, and will continue buying from Next and Next.co.uk

There is a £3.50 fee for the Catalogue. If you do make an Order then there is no fee.
