Excellent!
Review of Bionaire BAP1550 by shopwell

Advantages: Permanant Hepa Filters. 3 Speeds. Remote control. Ioniser button. Quiet. Low energy.
Disadvantages: None that i know of.

I've used Bionaire air purifiers for a few years and think they are great. This is one of the larger models size-wise because it covers a larger area (approx. 84m2), which personally i needed. This makes it dearer to buy of course, but i did not hesitate to spend the money on what i class as an essential. You can buy smaller and cheaper models if you do not need to cover so much space. It has 3 speeds and is much quieter than the older models, even ...
...me, as is the ioniser button. One reason i chose this model is because it has permanant, cleanable Hepa filters, so no extra cost after the initial purchase. The other filters are washable. It doesn't use much energy to run (can't recall exact wattage but it's under 90W when on full power). As a smoker i would not be without one! ... Read review

A breath of fresh air
Review of Bionaire BAP1500 1UK by roustabout

Advantages: Cleaner, fresher air
Disadvantages: Quite large

...I have invested in the Bionaire BAP1500 PERMAtech. The unit is quite large at 27" high x 10"x 6" but it is suitable for areas up to 84m2. It's quite stylishly finished in black with silver trim. The 'Permatech' model is so called because it has permanent filters which can be washed or vacuumed when the filter indicator light on the top of the unit comes on. It is a pain replacing bags and filters (if they are available at all) so I've decided to ...
...looks well made and the 3 speeds operate quietly considering the volume of air they process. However, don't think it's silent - the lowest speed is just louder than a computer fan which I find acceptable in my living room. The medium and fastest speeds I use to give a boost - usually when I'm going out. The Air purifier is designed to run continuously and at only 50 Watts max this should be no problem. There is also an oscillator function which ... Read review

Technex's review of the Bionaire BAP242 Air Pu
Review of Bionaire BAP242 AIR PU by Technex

Advantages: Nice fresh air, removes all bad things in air. Strong design.
Disadvantages: Noise. White colour scheme?

Well I can't remember where I got this air purifier from now I've been using it for a few years now. But this thing is great if air cleaning is what your after in a small space without a huge price this is the one to go for. The filter lasts a long time and removes something like 99.99% of all airborne particles! I've yet to replace mine and I would still say it's got about 5 months left! HEPA 99.99% Filter + Pre stage Carbon filter which is washable. ...
...can be placed either on it's side length ways or vertically. It doesn't effect the operation and has rubber feet for both options. It's a very strong unit it's hard to damage really... Powered by two centrifugal motors/fans it's got the power to clean the largest of rooms. It has three speed settings each shown by a line on the right slider bar. These adjust the noise respectively. I wouldn't suggest this though if your planning to use it for night ... Read review

Bionaire BAP242 Compact Air Purifier with Ioniser.
Review of Bionaire BAP242 AIR Purifier WITH Ioniser by Chriiiiiiiis

Advantages: Remove dust and unpleasant smells from rooms. EXCELLENT.
Disadvantages: Filters are difficult to purchase, but not impossible.

I bought the Bionaire BAP242 Compact Air Purifier with Ioniser in 2005, and I have just bought another which is why I am writing this review. It's an excellent product, and serves it's purpose brilliantly. After a few hours of use, you can feel the difference in the quality of the air. I find that it works best in a room where the door is closed. There are many reviews which state that the air purifier does not do what it's supposed to do, ... Read review

YES!!!!
Review of Bionaire BAP412 by iamfatasbuggery

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

We orginially got this Items as my husband had for some reason become very allergic to a lot of pollens ie grass and trees. At the time there wasnt alot of choice for filters that also had the hepa filters. This one we got from argos at about £90 This item has two sets of filters in side and you get a smaller type with one set. Each set have the main filter with the hepa part which filters done to the smallest particules which is 0.3 microns (which ...
...99.9% of airborne particules. The other part of the filter is basically car thick carbon sheet which collects all the dust that gets sucked into the filter before the air goes though the hepa filter. This means the carbon filters is replaced move often. Both filters are easy to change. The front panel is a large door which just pulls open to get to the filters which can then be removed. The carbon filters are recommened to be changed three of four ... Read review
