The worst and most stressful time of my life. The service was absolutely disgraceful. The communication between the airline and their contracted rep at Gatwick was non existant. So instead they just stringed us along with lie after lie. To start with 3 weeks before take off we recieved our first 'delay' that was 11 hours was annoying enough, let alone what was to come. Our next delay was from 18:00 to 4 in the morning. Eventually we get 2 hours sleep ... Read review

My Air France experience has been terrible from the first flight to Rio till when I came back to London. First my flight was delayed in London what made me miss my connection from Paris to Rio. After running half of the airport cause there was no shuttle to take the passengers to the right terminal, I was informed that the gate was closed and I couldn't board anymore, even with the plane there. I had to spend the night in Paris, the next flight was ...

This frequent flyer programme was one that I liked it does reward you on the mileage taken but has the serious flaw of taking an enormous number of flights before you earn enough to go anywhere or to even move up their status levels. If you find that you are stuck to them for flights since they either own the only route or they are the cheapest operator, you may find that one of their best flight awards is for a flight to parris for 10,000 miles ... *Overall, Monarch are terrible. I used them on a recent holiday as part of the package, and would never fly with them again.* Seat pitch - I'm 5ft 0 so don't normally care, but I was quite cramped, so it must be small! I even got given an emergency exit seat on the way out, which had more space, but of course had people pushing by on the way to the toilet etc. all night. Very annoying. For that reason, if you're not 6 ft I wouldn't request it. ...
...but it was edible. Monarch charge for drinks other than tea or coffee, and snacks except the meals. Prices are ridiculous of course. (They do generously give you free water, in tiny cups, though). And don't expect service, as I said - you'll have to go to the back to the stewards' area. Entertainment - effectively none. Advantages: bmi Workers are polite. That's the only positive thing I can say about bmi.

...I am very dissatisfied with British Midland Airways; moreover, I will try to avoid flying with bmi, and I would highly recommend people to stay away from this airline. ...made me feel angry at British Midland Airways. There was a bmi poster hanging on the wall, "Service. Flexibility. Punctuality. That's bmi Time!" Everyone laughed at those three words and took pictures of that poster trying to cheer up, knowing that all of their plans simply got screwed up by such delay.
