Review of Delta Air Transport (DAT) by MadeinScotland

Advantages: reasonable prices with a real airline, free food and drink, reliable and on-time
Disadvantages: no direct flight to Prague

I first flew DAT (Delta Air Transport) when I went to Prague with my boyfriend in late December. I originally booked with Sabena but was then told that Sabena had gone out of business, so as you can imagine we were a wee bit dubious when we booked on a DAT flight. DAT is based in Brussels and their slogan is DAT - reconnecting Brussels and that is exactly what they do. (Read below for a list of destinations.) The reason I chose to fly on DAT was ...
...that time of year, costing only £130. The flight stopped in Brussels and we were to connect to another DAT flight that would take us to Prague. All went very well indeed. The planes had lovely wide leather seats with lots of leg room. We were given drinks, sandwiches and chocolates to eat and the service was extremely professional. The flights always took off on time (even when there was quite a bit of snow on the ground). And they were never very ... Read review

Up and away with American Airlines Advantage!
Review of American Airlines Advantage by nickjj78

Advantages: Easy to use and good bonus schemes
Disadvantages: Limited offers for UK residents

American Airlines Advantage American Airlines Advantage is AA's frequent flyer collection scheme and I have to say that it is one of the best frequent flyer schemes that I have found in recent years; the only problem being that as I live and fly mainly out of Manchester in the UK the flights from this airport are limited to flights to Boston and Chicago. How to register? Registration and monitoring of your account can all be done via the American ...
...mileage bonus for flights on American Airlines and airline partners. Discounted Admirals Club (American Airlines lounges; but there aren't any in the UK!!) memberships. Priority check-in, preferred seating and priority standby and waitlisting on any oneworld alliance airlines. Additional Platinum advantages: First Class check-in and boarding regardless of class of travel. 100% mileage bonus for flights on American Airlines and airline partners. ... Read review

Skymiles never took off
Review of Delta Sky Miles by Newfloridian

Advantages: Good in theory possibly for US residents
Disadvantages: Communication poor; No incentive to remain loyal

...hotels and car hire companies). Delta Airlines has its Skymiles frequent flyer programme. It is designed to give bonus miles, preference in seating and at the check in gate, upgrades and free flights. It is also possible to view your account over the internet. We fly from the North East of England to Florida two or three times a year (not ‘frequent’ perhaps by business standards but ‘frequent enough’ as a recreational pursuit). For a variety of ...
...Brussels. We also found that Delta and its code partners flew routes across the Atlantic at significant savings in comparison to UK carriers. Three years ago it seemed a logical idea to join the Delta Skymiles programme. We usually travel as a family of five. I therefore obtained five application cards from the on board magazines, duly filled them out and put them into one envelope along with all our boarding cards. As we have three surnames (family ... Money for Nothing
Review of United Airlines Mileage Plus by mjg3579

Advantages: Free Scheme
Disadvantages: Its Free - what more do you want!!!

...couple of years ago with United Vacations. The reservations agent advised that I should join Mileage Plus. Yeah whatever, but did it anyway. Went to the United Airlines website and had a better look at it. United Airlines is part of the Star Alliance, the worlds leading airline alliance. The Mileage Plus scheme is obviously centred around United Airlines, but you can "earn and burn" your miles on any of the Star Alliance carriers: bmi british midland, ...
...example, I took out the United Airlines Mileage Plus Gold Card and earned an additional 6000 miles last year, recommended 3 friends to the scheme and earned 15000 miles, and 1 round trip economy to the USA gave me 8000 miles. That would have been enough to earn me a free trip with bmi british midland to Europe. There are a lot of additional offers set up mainly for US residents, such as the ability to earn with telecom companies, and at thousands ... Read review

US and Asia Travellers only.
Review of North West Airlines Frequent Flyer by Victor77

Advantages: Lots of Bonuses found on their web page.
Disadvantages: Have to be resident of the US or Asia

Northwest World perks was a really good FFP but this has ceased to be offered to European Passengers because this Mid western Airline decided it was more cost effective for the Frequent flyers to be handled by KLM. Everyone whom was a member of Worldperks was sent a letter 2 years ago stating that their accounts in the U.K would be closed down and the points transferred to KLM. P.S I would try and avoid flying with this airline as their aircraft ... Read review
