Advantages: great author with great ideas
Disadvantages: NONE!

Garth Nix is one of my favourite authors out of the fiction genre. His work has helped many boring days become colourful and i would recomend his books to anyone. His books are aimed at different audiences though all contain the same 5 star rating. The Keys to the Kingdom series is aimed at younger kids. Advantages: mystery in maine
Disadvantages: expected slighly more on conclusion

...and couldnt but it down. Rosie Thomas's unique perceptions about the human character, whether young or old, male or female, kept me enthralled throughout. I love the mystery that she brings to her novels, and remember reading Potters House with equal enjoyment. However, this book just makes me want to spend my summers in a white clap boarded house on the untamed coast of Maine, and meet the characters that the author creates who seem to 'walk' out ...
...youth! How perceptive of Rosie Thomas to highlight the passions and dreams of first love that is evident in Doone. I loved the William/Sarah twist which was completely unexpected, although I worked out Marty from the first photograph of May playing volleyball. Overall, this was wonderful escapism and I shall miss it. Tomorrow I plan to go to the bookshop and buy another of Rosie Thomas's brilliantly crafted novels. ... Read review

...encountered the first book by Stephenie Meyer quite by accident, I was browsing in Waterstones, looking for something easily digested and fantastical. I'm an adult, a mother in fact, but I don't rule out teen fiction as a potential genre. I read Twilight very quickly, entirely consumed by the power of the story and the depth of characters. I was impressed by her writing style, a fluid experience with vast emotive capacity which was entirely fulfilled. ...
...the already insane boundary but Stephenie Meyer handles it well, making reality of the character and effortlessly sliding the new character into every crucial element of the story arc. New Moon is harshly barren, devoid of the phenomenal depth of emotion for the majority of the book, reflecting events and keeping the reader on tenterhooks. Advantages: Great writing, long books, trilogys allow in depth detail.
Disadvantages: Only 6 books!

Trudi Canavan is an Australian born fantasy writer. Her first full length published book was the "Magician's Guild", the first part of "The Dark Magician Trilogy". These books revolve around a slum girl Sonea and her difficult and unlikely rise up through the ranks of magicians, and her problems and adventures along the way. ...is a better read than Trudi Canavan's previous trilogy. The second book "Priestess of the White" in my view is the highlight of Trudi Canavan's works so far. It should be noted that the trilogys can be (and were written to be) read independently. Over the course of Trudi Canavan's writing career she has received many accolades, and rightly so.
