After reading her debut novel "Angel" which i (surprisingly) enjoyed i thought i'd try her autobiography after someone reccomended it to me. Now this certainly isn't an intellectuals dream but for those who want something easy and interesting to read it's perfect. ...is semi diarised and autobiographical. What it's about. It briefly looks at Betty's childhood and upbringing. Explaining some traditional family values and how she was brought up to understand how a 'normal' life should be. Advantages: Honest, compelling and good natured.

I decided to read this book because i was curious to see what a 23 year old could possibly have to say about her life that fills a whole book. It cannot be denied that Billie Piper has done more in her time than most of her age, but it was not until i read this book that i understood just how much. Advantages: Rather blunt and honest in emotion
Disadvantages: The line between truth and exaggeration is a bit blurry...

'Jarhead' by Anthony Swofford is bound to make some people angry.
