ADDICT - Just what it says on the tin...
Review of Addict - Stephen Smith by
LadyBev
Advantages: how great your own life really is
Disadvantages: Not for everyone but everyone should read this..
What an amazing story this was to read..The title says it all and if you ever wondered why people even start to take drugs and what their life must be like then this will answer alot of your questions. I laughed and cried when i read this book, I tried to imagine the pain he felt and went through but to be honest with you this is one story that i found hard to put in my imagination this guy has been through it all and somehow managed to come out ... ...no\" drugs are bad and only weak and stupid people take them but as Stephen shows you drugs are not always what they appear to be and the strongest of people can be brought down with drugs. Starting on alchohol to feel able to stand up to the bullies as he was a shy boy the alchohol feeling gave him courage and he liked it, and so it started, turning to taking hundreds and hundreds of pills and that is alot everyday!!!getting further and further ...

David Jason
Review of Arise Sir David Jason - Stafford Hildred, Tim Ewbank by
giantpanda21
Advantages: All about David Jason life and career
Disadvantages: you cant put the book down
I have this book on David Jason and it has about 12 chapters ranging from his birth to his career and all the stuff in between.
I was never into reading biographys but there were 2 great actors i wanted to read about and 1 of them was David Jason. I've watched him in a touch of frost and in only fools and horses and wanted to know more about his life so i bought this book of his biography. It is a great read and i would reccommend people to read ... ...few photographs in the middle pages the book tells you all about how david started out and how he got the big roles of playing Delboy (Derek) Trotter and Jack Frost in A Touch of Frost.
Reading this biography of David Jason shows how the actor spent his life and about what his life was growing up as a boy into man and what he was like as a boy in school. ...

What a real Role Model should be
Review of Black, White and Gold - Kelly Holmes by
sewbizzie
Advantages: Great inspirational reading
Disadvantages: Bit long winded when she laks about other race competitors
Black White and Gold is the biography written by 2 times Olympic champion, Dame Kelly Holmes.
She starts the book in March of 2005 as she is sitting in a limousine driving towards the gate of Buckingham Palace. She is off to receive her Damehood and she says how surreal it felt and how she had to pinch herself to make sure it was really happening. She tells how she joked with the other people who were also their receiving their Damehood and Knights', ... ...to have the Queen place the sword on each of her shoulders, she tells them all she is going to kneel down anyway! As we all know she did not and she received her dame hood in the correct way!
We are then taken back to her early years and she tells how when her parents found out she was pregnant and had split up from her boyfriend they did not want her to have the baby but she went ahead and when Kelly was born her mother was given the choice of ...

Don't You Know Who I Am - I do now mate.........
Review of Don't You Know Who I Am?: Insider Diaries of Fame, Power and Naked Ambition - Piers Morgan by
leporecon1986
Advantages: Funny, interesting and gossipy
Disadvantages: slightly boring in places
After watching multiple episodes of Britain's got talent, and quite enjoying the remarks made by Piers Morgan I decided to pick up one of his books. My brother had a copy 'Don't you know who I am?' so this was the obvious choice.
The book consists of a number of diary entries around the time after his Mirror newspaper sacking, and evolves around his search for a new job, celebrity status and also I had no real idea of who Piers Morgan was except ... ...owing to a sacking. In this book Piers lifts the lid on his meeting with numerous celebrities ranging from top bench cabinet ministers to the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Sharon Osborne, all of which are thoroughly eventful. My favourite has to be his meeting with Sharon where he waits for her PR to go to the loo before asking her opinion of certain celebrities knowing that she would be more likely to slag them off without the PR present. Piers manages ...
