I thought the book would be an extension of the radio show and while to a degree it is, there just seems something a little forced about it all. I have always enjoyed reading true stories, as i can really get a picture on what life is really like for some people. When i found "Damaged", i couldn't have asked for a more gripping book. From the moment i started reading it, i constantly wanted to find out what was going to happen next! She starts the book in March of 2005 as she is sitting in a limousine driving towards the gate of Buckingham Palace. She is off to receive her Damehood and she says how surreal it felt and how she had to pinch herself to make sure it was really happening.
