Carla Van Raay's autobiography "Gods Callgirl" details the life of a naive, immature girl, then woman who is devoted to God but goes from obedient convent girl to sexual prostitute over the course of her life, but remains as naive as ever. Karina
Review of Karina has Down Syndrome - Cheryl Rogers, Gun Dolva by bluejules

Advantages: *
Disadvantages: *

...book describes the developmental stages Karina reaches. As these are later than a typical child, I felt really pleased when she reached them. I felt as though someone was telling me about a child I knew, and I felt almost as emotional about it. There is also information about the professional help that Karina received in the early years of her life. I think this will be helpful to new parents of a child with special needs. There are contact details ...
...helpful to British parents) Karina has an older sister and a younger brother and I enjoyed reading about the family as a whole even though the book is focused mainly on Karina. It was nice to read how the family coped and I enjoyed reading about things they did together. ~ What did I think and would I recommend it? ~ I really enjoyed reading this book. It was nicely written and I was interested in learning about the development of this lovely ... Read review

Amazing
Review of Still Me - Christopher Reeve by Angiebaby999

Advantages: Interesting, awe inspiring
Disadvantages: sad and upsetting

...someone with such injuries can still make an amazing life. Worth the read. I would probably not read this book again, but would recommend it to others who are iunterested in Biographies. I did find the last chapter a bit repetative but the rest of it was quite an amazement, how anyone can achieve what Christopher Reeve did makes us realise how lucky we are. I found it sad because of his accident and rather frightening as I ride horses and realised ... Read review

Disadvantages: Horrifying

This is the story of a woman who used to be a nanny for Fred and Rose West. She was unaware of their behaviour even when she was living with them, but as soon as something went wrong, she ran a mile. Caroline didn't have a normal life. She was born to a woman who wasn't married and her father didn't want to know after a few years as he was a devout Catholic. Soon her mother remarried to a man named Alf who she argued with and did a typical "step ...
...normal. She was introduced to the children and she got on fine. However she wasn't happy with the Wests' behaviour. They had men coming round all the time and Rose would take them into the bedroom. She soon found out that she was not a massager like first thought, but was part of a "sex circle". At the first chance, Caroline ran back home, only to be caught again by a deceiving Rose. Caroline was sexually aussaulted by both Fred and Rose, then raped ... Read review
