Having had this brought for me as a present over a year ago i have to give it to this mighty machine its still as powerfull and usfull as the day i unwrapped it. Frozen friut, bread to make breadcrumbs, ice, food for the kids when they were smaller, cheese sauces etc. Its simple to use, the plastic jug and the stiring pole at the top they all come apart for cleaning. We purchased this blender to make smoothies and vegetable soups. We are on our third blender in 3 months due to various faults. Blender 1. ...the case that it has only been designed for occasional use. The manual advises that the blades can be easily removed for cleaning. We found the blades stuck fast and it impossible to remove the blades on all 3 blenders we owned. The preset controls make it really easy to use. Its a real shame we can't seem to get a working one. I bought this hand blender when I started weaning my baby. I wanted to make his food myself to ensure I knew what went in it, I for some reason have a huge distrust in jarred baby food. I also use it to make myself fruit smoothies which it does brilliantly. It is comfortable to use, fitting perfectly into your hand and blends the food up pretty quickly. It has a detachable foot, making it so easy to clean. It is quite small, stores away well.
