Dragon soups on demand
Review of Dualit 83234 Professional Blender Charcoal by Dragonlight

Advantages: blends, chops and slices, fairly quiet, well built
Disadvantages: cleaning is a pain

...in hand I bought a Dualit 83234 Professional Blender in a Charcoal Grey colour for £85. This blender features a removable glass jug with an easy pour spout with a capacity to take 1.5 Litres of fluid. One of the main features this blender has is an interlocking system to prevent the blades within the jug from turning until the lid and the jug are secured in place. Now for m! e this is a great thing to have on my blender because the last one I had ...
...and when I purchased my Dualit blender it came with a very comprehensive recipe booklet which details a lot of recipes you can use your blender for such as soups. If you are looking to purchase this blender you will find it retails between £75 and £95 depending on where you choose to purchase it from, it is also available in ice Blue and Cream if you weren't too keen on the Charcoal colour, but I found those two colours to be more expensive to purchase. ... BLEND
Review of Kenwood BL732 by hancick

Advantages: Blends food well
Disadvantages: Loud

...most of you would agree, Kenwood is a respectable, well known brand which has been going for a while now. So i started shopping around for a Kenwood blender. Although my daughter wanted the blender mostly for smoothies, i didn't want to buy one of those smoothie makers as i like to experiment with different ingredients and therefore i could make other things in it while my daughter made her smoothies. I was flicking through the Argos catalogue to ...
...Packaging*** I got the Kenwood blender home and opened the box. The blender was well packaged, there were protective bags and cardboard. I took it all out of the packaging and gave it the once over, the blender wasn't damaged. In the box was the blender, the mill attatchment and some information leaflets. ***THE APPLIANCE*** BLENDER (BASE UNIT) - The blender is white and made of really strong, hard wearing plastic. It has four sucker feet, which ... Read review

Great Smoothie Maker
Review of Philips HR2094 by reviewkat

Advantages: High quality, good performance
Disadvantages: None!

I bought this smoothie maker a couple of weeks ago, and am very happy with it. It's a nice design with a brushed aluminum base and simple dial. I use it to make fruit, yogurt and ice smoothies, however, you can use it to make margaritas, ice-blended coffees, milk shakes and even soya milk!! (I will explain later). The jug is made of glass, not plastic and can hold up to 1.25 litres. You can put the glass jar, the lid and measuring cup (which fits ...
...not the removable blade). There is a separate filter that you can put in where the measuring cup is kept (not in photo, but it would be in the centre of the jug). This allows you to put fruits that contain seeds or skin that you don't want 'blended' in your smoothie. By using the filter you can also make soya milk! You have to soak the soya beans first then put in the filter to be 'ground' up with water. There are three different buttons: Smoothie, ... Read review

Hand blender
Review of Moulinex ADG342 by ashton08

Advantages: Price, easy to clean
Disadvantages: None

I bought this hand blender when I started weaning my baby. I wanted to make his food myself to ensure I knew what went in it, I for some reason have a huge distrust in jarred baby food. I also use it to make myself fruit smoothies which it does brilliantly. I have a large free-standing blender but its an absolute pain in the rear to clean, especially if I'm only blending small amounts of food, well actually even if I am blending alot of food I still ...
...I didn't want anything fancy and I didn't want anything expensive. This suited my requirements perfectly. It is comfortable to use, fitting perfectly into your hand and blends the food up pretty quickly. It has a detachable foot, making it so easy to clean. It is quite small, stores away well. The jug that comes with it is very handy, just the right size. I would definately recommend it. ... Read review
