Blenders

Advantages: Very easy to used and disassemble
Disadvantages: Broke after a few months

I bought this product from asda supermarket when i started giving my sons solids. I bought it when he was 4 months old, he is now 9 months and the blender has been broken for about 2 months. When i first bought it, it was fantastic did exactly what id hoped for. It comes with the jug so all i did was put his food into the jug and when he was on smooth food i blended it for ages and when he started eating lumper food i just didnt blend it for as long. ...
...to use it and the blade from the middle would screw into place properly so it kept falling out and wouldnt spin, which in turn ment it wouldnt blend. I suppose i could have over used it as i used it roughly 2-3 times a day but personally i think it should have lasted slightly longer. Advantages: Quick, healthy and easy to clean
Disadvantages: doesn't blend ice well

I use my blender to make healthy smoothies, with the plus side of making alcoholic cocktails! Its really easy to make fruit smoothies, I usually use any fresh fruit I have with a tin of fruit too and either yoghurt or fruit juice to blend. A good recipe is fresh strawberries, fresh or tinned rasperies, plain yoghurt and vanilla pod. Delicious. However, when trying to make cocktails the ice doesn't blend too well but you can always add ice later. ...
...blades aren't removeable but because of the tap they don't need to be. It IS dishwasher safe, but it really doesn't nreed to be. Just put it into some hot soapy water and after the insides are clean (really quickly) you can just run water through the tap for a while then wash as normal. Advantages: Highly versatile, excellent blender and good grinder
Disadvantages: Wears out within a year or two of regular use

We love this, especially the grinder that we use every day for linseed for our cereal. The grinder is great for small amounts but only fill it 1/4 full or it bungs up. All the attachments are handy, though we don't use the veg processor bit much as it doesn't work that well - you would be better off with a bigger machine for that. ...look there and found a Kenwood BL440 which was a blender with a grinder attachment and was just £20. This was ideal for me - I didn't want to pay a fortune for a 'smoothie maker' when this would do the job just as well and I got a grinder as a bonus! ...my partner bought me a Breville Blender with a brushed stainless steel finish, £39.99 from John Lewis; she chose this model after reading glowing reports about it in a magazine. It certainly looks impressive with its glass jug & stainless steel finish. ...a real pain. However the Breville just needs warm water & some washing up liquid added to the jug & switch it on for a few seconds & it will clean itself out very well indeed. Just pour out the soapy water & dry off, job done. The manufacturer states that you must keep your hand on top of the lid when blending but to honest it's probably for health & safety reasons they have stated this as the top is a secure fitting on the jug.
