This chip is from AMD's last generation architecture using the 939 socket. Due to the new AM2 architecture being released, socket 939 chips have plummeted in price as they are no longer cutting edge. This means there are bargains to be had and this opteron is one of those chips. Around 60 pounds buys you a single core 2Ghz processor which is nothing special.
