An extremely fast processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 / 3 GHz processor by
Xplodzion
Advantages: Very Fast, Stock fan is not too loud
Disadvantages: Further overclocking would require a better fan
This is the fastest standard Intel Core 2 Duo you can buy, the E6850 has a 333Mhz FSB which is 1,333Mhz Effective so it has more memory bandwidth than its descendants.
The E6850 has a VID of 1.35V most of the time (some of them have a VID of 1.3v although it's uncommon) and runs slightly hotter than a E6750 with a VID of 1.3, during my tests I also noticed it is harder to overclock than an E6750 but only by a small amount, me getting the clock speeds ... ...get the E6750 up to just under 3.65Ghz, this was just with the boxed fans that came with the processors, although if you bought custom coolers, you would get much better.
Conclusion: While I could not get it to overclock as high as an E6750 in my tests, you could easily reach over 4Ghz if you bought good enough cooling for it, however if overclocking is not for you, this processor is still an ace to pick up and will run any of tomorrows software ...

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 / 2.33 GHz processor by
mop591
Advantages: Very fast, cheap
Disadvantages: need to have IT expereince
This intel dual core processor with 2.33Ghz speed (total speed of 4.6Ghz) with a 4MB Cache can handle an awful lot of demanding programs runnning at once, obviously it has its limits, but for the price its a very good processor. This processor is also compatable with 64 bit computing.
It has an LGA775 Socket which is compatable with most of the new motherboards if you are looking to upgrade or build your own pc. If you are looking to buy a processor ...

Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66 GHz processor by

Advantages: Fast clock speed / Good amount of lvl2 cache
Disadvantages: Could balance out workload onto both cores a bit more
...may know this is an Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 / 2.66ghz cpu, It has 2 cores on the one chip. it runs with 64-bit architecture which then opens up a whole new world of 64-bit operating systems for tommorows technolodgy...this along with the fact it has 4mb lvl2 cache makes superfast repsonse rates to programs and files i have also noticed that their are not so many "cache misses" to which i expected so this pleases me the most :D
The only downside is ...

The new Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 just rocks
Review of Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 / 2.13 GHz processor by
neo1983
Advantages: Good performance, Great value, Low power consumption, Stability
Disadvantages: None
...MB of cache. This new Intel core 2 processor E6420 replaces the old Core Duo E6400, and has a series of notable advantages over the latter one. I tested both products and one thing is sure, by adding two extra MB on the processor die, the performance increased quite a little. I've tested both processors in several aplications and the speed difference varies from almost none (rendering), to notable in encoding, compressing, multimedia (3-6 % speed ... ...this at the same price like E6400 processor.
The speed is just great for it's price and if you thing it isn't fast enough this processor is highly overclockable. my tested version worked until 3.15 Ghz with the stock cooler included and without increasing the processor voltage.
The stability of this core 2 processor is great, never experienced a single type of problem in the long hours of testing .The processor temperature is quite low, even when ...
