Got this processor in a cheap Medion pc (from tescos £300) about six months ago was intially very impressed by the frequency 3.33 ghz which sounds good. However this is deceiving to the performance of the cpu i.e. though it handles simple pc tasks such as non demanding things like the internet it often slows down and nearly constantly runs at 100% frequency or quite near that level. As one of the more standard - mid-high end processors available today, the 3ghz chip is useful for most average and moderately demanding programs and games. Intel have really got it right with this CPU. It was easy to install and runs like a dream. To take real advantage of the power of this CPU it really needs the Vista 64bit version and there are few software compatibility problems now so it is worth taking the plunge. This is an absolute great processor for office use. It can bear very high temperatures, and with the right motherboard and bios it can be overclocked easily. Works great at Windows XP when using word, internet, reading your e-mail etc. (office use).
