...processor is actually called an AMD Athlon64 3000+, which means that it is the equivalent to an Intel 3Ghz. But it is called here a 2Ghz because AMD are better than Intel and their processors can handle more information, so can be slower, and therefore cooler. ...Intel, it will use the AMD 64bit chip (what this has) because Microsoft said to Intel that the new XP would ONLY work with the AMD chip because it was better!! So basically, this CPU is amazingly fast for the price, can be overclocked to go even faster, stays very cool, extremely simple to install and use and uses the same chip as all Intel 64s because Intel had to buy the AMD one off them! I brought this processor approximately 2months ago as an upgrade from my old processsor. I found that for the money it was a tremendous upgrade, and that it was just right for a computer with graphic design capabilities, The processor runs without any hesitation or lag, it has plenty of overclocking facilities if you wish to push more power out of your mahcine, which i decided not to, but as a test i did overclock it to 3500 which out any problems, ... This E6750 is the processor running in my computer as I write this review. In my opinion I couldn't have chosen a better CPU for what I was looking for. I was looking to spend around 200 USD for a processor and I wanted it to be very powerful so that I could run demanding programs and all of the most recent games.
