Pentium 3GHZ....Not fast enough!!
Review of Intel Pentium 4 3 GHz processor by reviewermarc

Advantages: Price, value, performance, ease of setup
Disadvantages: Extreme performance outruled, long term viability...

As one of the more standard - mid-high end processors available today, the 3ghz chip is useful for most average and moderately demanding programs and games. When coupled with the correct memory, and graphics card you cant really go wrong, however for users who demand the most out of their system it doesnt really fit the bill. For a start, its an excellent product if you're on a budget, weighing in at less then £120 nowadays its a real bargain. BUT, ...
...fanatics who loves to squeeze every last bit of juice out of their system, its not ideally a system you'll want to be purchasing soon, considering 4GHZ+ chips are now available. Works like a dream for me, easy to install, easy to follow the instructions, and help from intels website like ive never seen. The games I tested using it: DOOM3, FarCry, and 3dMark cpu tester. All came out relatively well, but thats considering i have a 9600XT graphics ... Read review

2.8ghz Pentium 4 - Oldie but Goodie
Review of Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor by hes_quadraphonic

Advantages: Cheap, Good Performace
Disadvantages: Not HT, L2 Cache could be bigger, Easy to install if you know how.

I've had this processor for nearly two years now, and following a cost benefit anaylsis, I still don't see the point in upgrading. It's a perfectly capable processor, and teamed with 1GB of memory, it performs well. Theres not a lot to say about this processor, and what will be said will be extreamly boring. I can see why processors don't have a lot of reviews, they're not exactly easy or fun to write about, but I'll give it my best shot. ----------General ...
...style interface meaning it is only comaptable with socket 478 motherboards(Though i believe you can buy an adapter for 478 chips to make the work with socket LLG775 motherboards - the newer but not newest design). The processor is 32-bit, has 512kb of L2 Cache and a FSB equivalent to 533mhz. This makes the processor relatively quick and very capable for everyday tasks and even gaming (when paired with a good graphics card). It is available in the ... Read review

Reliable Processor
Review of Intel Pentium 4 2.6 GHz processor by studly1_uk

Advantages: Good speed, reliability
Disadvantages: none

Ive had this in my system for about 3 years now and have never had a problem with it or had any need to upgrade it. I can still play the latest games without suffering performance loss and can run several demanding applications at once. I paid about £100 for the CPU when I first got it and it was a fantastic investment. I expect to be able to get at least another years use out of it before having to upgrade but that will be down to an upgrade of ... Read review

Intel inside?
Review of Intel Pentium 4 2.4 GHz processor by Jimbo999

Advantages: Quick, easy to work & dead quiet
Disadvantages: Jams quite often

I have had one of these for ages at I is supurb. I have noticed how you can run about 5 applications with no problems and it still keeps up with you. However, when you load many things at once it jams for about 10 seconds. This is very frustration but it does sort itself out. It os very good value at only £85 from the shops advertised on this sight and it is quite cheap to get someone to install it for you. Mine was already installed as many new ... Read review

Pentium 4 - 2.2Ghz
Review of Intel Pentium 4 2 GHz processor by DigitalThing

Advantages: Performs Well
Disadvantages: Expensive

...release early in 2002, both Intel and AMD are settling back into the standard pattern of trying to beat the other to the punch. Intel impressed us with the Pentium 4 Northwood, as well as jumping a full 200 MHz with the Pentium 4-2.2 GHz. AMD followed this up with their Athlon XP 2100+, which once again had the juice to slip by the fastest Intel had to offer. The last shot was fired by AMD, so naturally it should be Intel's chance to step up to ...
...of 66 MHz incremental releases, Intel continues to lay down the hammer 200 MHz at a time, and at some point the performance deadlock has to break. The Pentium 4-2.4 GHz is a standard Pentium 4 based on the Northwood core. This means a 400 MHz FSB (front-side bus), a 0.13-micron die, and 512K of L2 cache. The release of the 2.4 GHZ Pentium 4 does not herald the arrival of the 533- MHZ FSB nor any Intel platforms supporting any of the new DDR333 or ... Read review
