This is brilliant processor for its small price. In fact i like it so much, im writing this review using it right now. It is really easily over clocked using the right mother board. Personally, i have overclocked to 2.5Ghz using a cheap Gigabyte motherboard and an arctic cooling freezer 7 pro heat-sink fan unit. I have found that it is brilliant for multi-tasking. ...obviously depending on case cooling and heat-sink fan, its not too bad. In my computer i have 3 additional 80cm fans for cooling as well as the heat-sink fan and im peaking at 45 degrees Celsius. The only disadvantage i can see with the CPU would be the L2 cache size. At only 1GB its not as fast as the Core 2 Duo CPU's but at this price its worth it. ... Read review

I have had this processor in my PC for around 7 months and it is probably the best value processor around. I put it i my first ever build and it was very easy to install and very fast,probably the fastest PC I had ever used! After a few days I messed aroung with overclocking and this is when I really unlocked its potential. I don't really have a clue about memory timings etc. so anything extra I could get out of it the better. I could get it up ...
...but its now sitting at 3Ghz as it has been for 7 months and it flies! I have played quite a few games with it including COD4, PES 2008, FIFA 08, GTA SA, Half Life 2 and more, very smoothly. Disadvantages: More expensive than Celerons, AMDs, etc

...well as one of those Intel Pentium 4 ‘Intel Inside’ stickers. If you were to buy an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) version of the CPU, then you would not get the box, the documents, the heatsink and fan or the sticker. The warranty would also be a lot shorter. My retail boxed CPU has a 3 year limited warranty, which isn’t bad. Installation of the CPU was the same as any other CPU. First, lift the leaver to unlock the socket so the CPU’s pins ...
...the price as being an Intel Pentium, the price is higher than other CPU’s such as AMD’s, but if you do opt for the cheaper AMD, then you would need a whole different board so you have to plan ahead. Buying a board made for Pentiums/Celerons and then deciding on an AMD won’t help. Is it worth it? Well, that depends on what you use your computer for. As one of the more standard - mid-high end processors available today, the 3ghz chip is useful for most average and moderately demanding programs and games. When coupled with the correct memory, and graphics card you cant really go wrong, however for users who demand the most out of their system it doesnt really fit the bill.
