I found this product extremely disappointing. I purchased it for filming family wedddings/parties. in my experience the quality of the camera was good, but after spending £15 on cables to connect to usb and firewire and being told it worked with windows movie maker i found myself very disappointed. I tried to upload about 15 minutes of film onto my laptop (memory and cpu etc wasnt a problem as i easily uploaded fromanother video camera) after 7 hours ... Read review

I bought this Sony camcorder after having had a Sony mini dv camcorder for around a year. The reason I wanted the hard drive camcorder is because the mini dv one was very very hard to put onto tape. This camcorder is very easy to use and replay and since it's a hard disk camcorder, you can easily record the footage onto DVD. Bought from John Lewis for £149 which came with a 2 year guarantee this is a compact and easy to use "point and shoot" camcorder.
