Panasonic NV GS11
Review of Panasonic NV GS11 by
mountainloz
Advantages: ease of use - size
Disadvantages: low light filming
i have had this camera for a few years now and it has been excellent for me.
i have done wedding videos to dvd, promotional dvds for businesses, christenings and holidays, and have had virtually no problems
the only downside i've had is filming in low light, eg. wedding night parties, but i have no frame of reference as to how well it compares to other cameras,
with the filter threads a wide range of lenses etc are available to enhance your videos, ...

Review of Panasonic NV GS11B by
lesleyanne18
Advantages: Great Quality
Disadvantages: Poor Battery Life
...new video camera - A panasonic NV GS11B - An excellent camera for personal use, Made in Japan
I am using this camera to video a fictional crime scene - an assignment. And having never using a video camera before i was dreading even touching it incase i done something wrong.
The Packaging
before i purchased my camera I read through the packaging to find out all the features which were included, and i personally really liked how the packaging was ... ...its just too much, so panasonic got my attention and got the sale.
The Look of the Camera
The camera was silver in colour with a faded black surround and a rubber eye area where you look through.
it has an on and off button and photoshoot mode, quick start button and a volume control slider - these are the main controls on the outside of the camera. Thankfully it was all easy to understand as they all had labels to tell me what each thing did. ...

Poor VHS Cam
Review of Panasonic NV GS17 by
sean1234567890
Advantages: Good Quality
Disadvantages: Unable to transfer any videos onto computer
I found this product extremely disappointing. I purchased it for filming family wedddings/parties. in my experience the quality of the camera was good, but after spending £15 on cables to connect to usb and firewire and being told it worked with windows movie maker i found myself very disappointed. I tried to upload about 15 minutes of film onto my laptop (memory and cpu etc wasnt a problem as i easily uploaded fromanother video camera) after 7 hours ...

Esy to Use and Good Quality Camcorder
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR55E by
leannec79
Advantages: Easy to record onto DVD, good quality
Disadvantages: No viewfinder
I bought this Sony camcorder after having had a Sony mini dv camcorder for around a year. The reason I wanted the hard drive camcorder is because the mini dv one was very very hard to put onto tape. This camcorder is very easy to use and replay and since it's a hard disk camcorder, you can easily record the footage onto DVD. The footage is shown in clips which makes it very easy to find/delete what you are looking for. When you play back, all the ... ...The picture quality is absolutely fine, as is the sound. The only downside, I would say, is that there is no viewfinder so on a sunny day it's difficult to see the screen clearly.
I would definitely recommend this camcorder, if anything for it's ease of use and good quality. ...

Great value entry level camcorder
Review of Sony Handycam DCR HC51E by
No1Joker
Advantages: Simple functions, lightweight, great zoom for the price
Disadvantages: No firewire cable supplied, camera shake at extreme zoom
Bought from John Lewis for £149 which came with a 2 year guarantee this is a compact and easy to use "point and shoot" camcorder.
Bought because we have just had our first child and wanted to record those special moments.
There are a few obvious positives:
a) The quality of the 40x zoom using the Carl Zeiss lens, although there is obvious camera shake at extreme zoom when not using a tripod
b) It has a good battery life and you can purchase the ... ...combined with intuative controls, lightweight machine and comfortable to hold. d) It is a entry level camera with reasonable specifications which records onto Digital Video (small tapes) and these are the preferred recording media if you are considering transfering to your PC. The firewire cable to connect the unit to your PC is NOT included, which is my main complaint about the unit. You will need to add some editing software (or use windows movie ...
