Camcorder excellence for hardly any £
Review of Panasonic SDR-H20 by Mike_el

Advantages: the storege space 30GB!!! great picture qualtiy, transferable to pc/DVD
Disadvantages: the battery could last a little longer

...30GB memory and made by panasonic I thought I was dreaming. For the type of camcorder it is I cant highlight enough how great a buy this is ull never find a similar competive priced camcorder with the same features and quality as the SDR-H20 anywhere. The camcorder has the main features of all camcorders these days with some very helpful ones such as theAnti ground shooting device. When this is turned on the camcorder will automaticly stop shooting ...
...your the type of person who forgets to pause the camcorder this little device is perfect for you The picture quality and sharpness is fantastic and very clear and crisp with fully vibrant colours you ll be very pleased with the end result of your recording. There is also a massive 32X zoom on the camera which is again excellent for the price your paying. At this range it can be a little shakey with your hands its best to put it on a tripod at these ... NV GS60 Panasonic Camcorder
Review of Panasonic NV GS60EG-S by xia1

Advantages: Good Zoom, easy to use, good picture
Disadvantages: Didn't include DV cable, uses battery charge fast

I have owned the NV GS60 for over a year now and I am still happy with its performance. It hasn't broke or stopped working at all ever. It has a good 30x zoom. It came with 6 tapes to record on and i bought it off Amazon for £114 pounds. It has a 2 inch Lcd optional screen or you can use it the normal way. It isn't hard to operate and i found easy to use, within a few days i was recording, editing and using clips on the internet! It was a shame ...
...buy that seperately. Mine came with a Television cable but dissapointingly not with a DV cable which is neccesary to connect to your laptop or PC. The battery doesn't take long to charge and after an hour it's about done. But it used the battery charge pretty fast so i had to charge it again. Also it's a bit of a fumble putting the battery in the camcorder. I was going to buy a tripod but didn't bother as i had already started filming. My whole ... Read review

very good low end solid state camcorder
Review of Canon FS100 by cheapomulti

Advantages: good picture quality in most aplications, very light ,good batery life
Disadvantages: focus can be poor in very low light recordings

...under £200 which for a brand new model isn't too bad but I suspect this is a vision of the future and all camcorders will go solid state soon and the price will come down to ~£100 like the base level Minidv camcorders from JVC and Canon have done. ... Read review

The first HD worth buying
Review of Canon HF10 by ianux48

Advantages: Stunning quality, easy to use, compact
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, standard battery life just OK

...the plunge and buy the Canon HF10. Having spent a few days getting to know this product I an very pleased with the camcorder in general and the results, its not perfect, but certainly one of the best flash memory camcorders available. The palm sized unit is small and despite its plastic case seems to be reasonably well built. I find it very easy to use, although Canons menu syatem is a bit different to what I have seen on thier still cameras. Image ...
...is fast, image stabilisation (optical) also seems to work very well. The camera has 16gb of internal storage built in and accepts SD cards for additional capacity. Battery life is OK around 60-70 minutes, I got a spare battery to be on the safe side (higher capacity batteries are available but stick out of the rear of the camara and spoil the lines). Unlike many similar products, all the connections are on the camera itself so there is no docking ... Read review

Esy to Use and Good Quality Camcorder
Review of Sony Handycam DCR SR55E by leannec79

Advantages: Easy to record onto DVD, good quality
Disadvantages: No viewfinder

I bought this Sony camcorder after having had a Sony mini dv camcorder for around a year. The reason I wanted the hard drive camcorder is because the mini dv one was very very hard to put onto tape. This camcorder is very easy to use and replay and since it's a hard disk camcorder, you can easily record the footage onto DVD. The footage is shown in clips which makes it very easy to find/delete what you are looking for. When you play back, all the ...
...The picture quality is absolutely fine, as is the sound. The only downside, I would say, is that there is no viewfinder so on a sunny day it's difficult to see the screen clearly. I would definitely recommend this camcorder, if anything for it's ease of use and good quality. ... Read review
