great camera
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV320 by 1proteus1

Advantages: night shot and impressive zoom and steady shot
Disadvantages: battery life and 640x480 stills

This camera is excellent in my opinion as its main functions are able to be used 1 handed for example zoom and record .Steady shot makes even the shakiest hand seem smooth . Zoom is 100x digital zoom which is very clear and sharp .Focus can be set for auto ,manual or infinity which is hand for doing covert filming though net curtains lol the camera sees right through rather than focusing on the net curtain .Night shot is good for low light and is ...
...for lack of a better description and is excellent in virtually no light for catching local hooligans vandalising an other such night time activities . The LCD screen is a good size and also able to be flipped around for self filming (i wouldnt know why someone would want to but its a good feature ) also has adjustable brightness . The menu is a little akward as its on a roller type switch but its ok once you get used to it but to be honest once i ... Read review

i love u sony
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV110E by tipaby

Advantages: Lightweight and very easy to use
Disadvantages: not much

I bought a Sony 80x Digital Handycam Camcorder; it uses Hi8 Digital cassette tapes. The model I bought has a colour LCD monitor, which you can use during recording and playback, and when having problems recording siblings, you can turn it 180 degrees and the kids can actually see themselves the right way up in it, it really fascinates kids. The screen has a volume control and the sound is very clear, even on the highest setting. You can also adjust ...
...has a Nightshot 0 Lux facility, which when recording in the night enables you to see, you can see all the creatures that come out in the dark, very clearly. Luckily for me it has Super Steady Shot, I use my camcorder for long periods of time, even though the camcorder is very light your arm does begin to ache and then I get the shakes, but with Super Steady Shot, during playback there is no evidence of this shaking. At the time when I purchased this ... Read review

All that I wanted in one package
Review of Sony Handycam DCR TRV620 by JamesMoore

Advantages: Colour viewfinder means you can see what you are recording without running down the battery with the
Disadvantages: Need a lot of light for high quality pictures

...Argos Catalogue and found the Sony TRV320 which had the serial connection and the bonus of memory card even easier photo transfer (using the floppy adapter) I decided to cut my losses and give up on the DV in. So I went to my local Sony Centre to see it in the flesh. But on arrival in the shop I found the slightly better TRV620 with 'DV/Analogue in' and colour view finder and only a few hundred pounds more. So I decided to go for it as it had all ...
...Oxford Street where I got my Mini Disc Player there much cheaper. But on my walk home I popped into Dixons and saw the TRV620 for the bargain price of £700, exactly the same price as the TRV320. The reason being someone had purchased it and returned in unused as it did not work with the Mac. You could tell it was unused as the charger was still sealed. The 'Analogue in' was also very useful as I was able to play my fathers video of my wedding through ... Read review

Camcorder advice and my Sony CCR-TR724
Review of Sony Handycam CCD TR728 by andycharger

Advantages: A great camcorder for the price
Disadvantages: Small buttons, no screen, B & W viewfinder.

Camcorders have always been viewed in my family as an extravagant toy. Something that is not essential to everyday life. "A normal Camera is just as good" they exclaimed. Well after seeing a few wedding videos and holiday films that other people had made, I decided to bite the bullet, and buy one for my honeymoon. The beauty of a foreign honeymoon is, of course, duty free. Your home airport is THE best place to buy your camera. There are 2 reasons ...
...correct format camera for your country. (Americans can buy a NTSC camera in USA and English can buy a PAL camera in England). Its best to do this as converters are a pain and cost a lot of money. 2) The tax free saving can make a big difference. For example, I saved over £60 on my camera. Thats a saving of nearly 20%. My advice would be to speak to your high street retailer before you go. Do this because they can advise you on what you want at ... Read review
