Panasonic's little marvel
Review of Panasonic NV GS60 by LHPMEDIA

Advantages: Ease of use, ability to do the job
Disadvantages: no headphone socket or mic input

I am a professional film maker. most times I shoot with Canon XM2 cameras. The tech spec of this interested me, its seems the money gone into the camera spec, not the frills. Ease of use is a big plus, easy to hold steady with both hands and the zoom..well superb. A brilliant all rounder and cheap enough to buy two which I did. Ebay offers them at around £130 and compared to other cameras in that range there is little competion. Picture quality is ...
...the sound, here it could be better, but hey a piece of dense foam infront of the mic makes a big difference, i can live with that. As a first and only camera you could make a film for Tv no problem, as a second/third cam on a shoot, I challenge you to spot the difference on most occasions between this and a camera 10x the price! Buy it. www.LAURENCEHOGGPRODUCTIONS.co.uk ... Read review

Superb little entry level camcorder
Review of Panasonic e.cam NV GS37B by richard1506

Advantages: Small, light, 30 x optical zoom, good battery
Disadvantages: Can be awkward to use, no firewire cable

...best price/zoom combination was the Panasonic NV-GS37, which, as it was the display model, had a discount. I paid, and took it home to prepare the camcorder for the next day. The first thing that surprised me was the size of it, and I wondered how the tape could possibly fit into the camcorder. It slides in horizontally on the right hand side, under the grip belt, which, awkwardly, has to be moved out of the way. The next thing was the size of the ...
...had plenty of power to record the whole of the game's action (55 min stop/start) but had sufficient power to rewind, and then replay the unedited tape. The 30 x optical zoom was amazing, far better than the previous camcorder. However, the 1000 x digital zoom is pointless. The controls are easy to use, with the play/pause button operated by the right hand thumb, and the zoom operated by right hand index finger. The still facility (photo shot), is ... Read review

A Good Camcorder for First time buyer
Review of Panasonic NV GS35 by paulten

Advantages: Silvery, Compact, DV-input, good charger user friendly panel
Disadvantages: Rigid view finder, Poor software

I bought this camcorder in last christmas to take videos for my little daughter. During that time, I have a choice to swtich to hard-drive based camcorder or ordinary MiniDV camcorder. However the price difference is so ridiculously huge. I was persuaded to take this Camcorder with the fantastic freebies. After using it for a month, I can confidently said that it is really value for money, as it got all the feature you want, consider an DV-input, ...
...a charger like other brand. If you have a spare battery like me, you will be able to use the camcorder eventhough your first battery runout without buying a separate charger like other brand. The quality of the picture is excellent in daylight, however, it has no zero lux capability like the Sony Camcorder. If you swtich on the light of the camcorder for night shot, the pictures tends to be flickly and like the number of frame per seconds has greatly ... Read review

NV GS60 Panasonic Camcorder
Review of Panasonic NV GS60EG-S by xia1

Advantages: Good Zoom, easy to use, good picture
Disadvantages: Didn't include DV cable, uses battery charge fast

I have owned the NV GS60 for over a year now and I am still happy with its performance. It hasn't broke or stopped working at all ever. It has a good 30x zoom. It came with 6 tapes to record on and i bought it off Amazon for £114 pounds. It has a 2 inch Lcd optional screen or you can use it the normal way. It isn't hard to operate and i found easy to use, within a few days i was recording, editing and using clips on the internet! It was a shame ...
...buy that seperately. Mine came with a Television cable but dissapointingly not with a DV cable which is neccesary to connect to your laptop or PC. The battery doesn't take long to charge and after an hour it's about done. But it used the battery charge pretty fast so i had to charge it again. Also it's a bit of a fumble putting the battery in the camcorder. I was going to buy a tripod but didn't bother as i had already started filming. My whole ... Read review

very good low end solid state camcorder
Review of Canon FS100 by cheapomulti

Advantages: good picture quality in most aplications, very light ,good batery life
Disadvantages: focus can be poor in very low light recordings

...under £200 which for a brand new model isn't too bad but I suspect this is a vision of the future and all camcorders will go solid state soon and the price will come down to ~£100 like the base level Minidv camcorders from JVC and Canon have done. ... Read review
