Wide awake till it's over...
Review of Dr Seuss's Sleep Book - Dr. Seuss by Borg

Advantages: Great reading out loud and to yourself. Wonderful artwork and rhyme.
Disadvantages: None

...about the joys of reading Dr Seuss’s children’s books... Of course, I had heard of the film ‘Grinch,’ starring Jim Carey, and the new ‘The Cat in the Hat,’ but buying any of Seuss’ books had not really interested me, as I did not know what they entailed. However her evaluation of his book ‘The Cat in the Hat’ had intrigued me. I have a four and half year old daughter, you see (and a baby boy approaching one, but that is another story) who likes ...
...choice until I decided of Dr Seuss’s Sleep Book. Theodor Seuss Geisel was born 2nd March 1904 in Springfield, MA. It was an instant success, Seuss went on to write many others, including Dr Seuss’s ABC and If I Ran the Zoo. Seuss died 24th September 1991. Several other members of ... Read review

Ted credited his mother with both his ability and desire to create the rhymes for which he became so well known. ... Read review

Review of Fox in Socks - Dr. Seuss by bluejules

Advantages: Colourful pictures, story is in rhyme
Disadvantages: Some of the tongue twisters are hard to say!

...he went to bed and Fox in Socks by Dr Seuss was the one he picked. I gave him a choice of Dr Seuss books but he chose this one, as he'd never heard it before. Dr Seuss (pseudonym of Theodor Seuss Geisel) was born on 2nd March 1904 and died on 24th September 1991. During his lifetime he wrote nearly 50 children's books. He was probably most famous for The Cat in the Hat, which has also been made into a film. The whole book is written in rhyme which ...
...general story line is Mr Fox is trying to get Mr Knox to lots of different tongue twisters but poor Mr Knox just cannot get his tongue around them (I don't blame him - I found some of them pretty difficult myself!) Throughout the story we meet lots of interesting characters, including chicks with bricks, Sue who sews crow's ... Read review

The books by Seuss and other authors under the imprint made reading fun, and the use of keywords and phonics have made these popular choices for parents and teachers around the world. It should be noted that these books of Seuss’ are written in poetic meter, and they are properly read in a rhythm. Currently the books are released ...
...~~~The Book~~~ Green Eggs and Ham is a very simple story. Sam whizzes by a furry fellow on a chair and invites him to sample some green eggs and ham. The fellow refuses, and Sam is most insistent, going through all sorts of bizarre scenarios to see what it would take to get him to try the dish. Finally, out of exasperation, the furry fellow tries them and is surprised to find he DOES like the dish after all. The overall message is one of trying ... Read review
