A five-hour car journey can be quite a bore without a good book, so I decided I had to buy something to read in time for Easter weekend, and went into the bookshop, fortunately with a voucher left from World Book Day, to browse the latest titles. The cover didn't give too much away; an image of a teenage girl half-hiding herself with her sleeve. The blurb simply asked a question or two, not going into too much detail, yet somehow managing to lure me in. Advantages: Great rhymes and teaches children how to behave well
Disadvantages: none

...great help to show him how he should have behaved. Unfortunately by the time we discovered it, he had grown out of all that although there are occasions when he still plays up a little bit and tries to convince us that one story more wouldn't be so bad. The best thing about this book is that it is done in a way that children will find amusing but will see that it's really better for them to behave. How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food? THE STORY The story begins by asking questions about how a dinosaur eats his food. Does it belch or make rude noises? Does he pick at it, does he fuss, does he flip it in the air and goes on to ask more questions. We are then told exactly how a dinosaur does eat his food. ...last few pages show us how the dinosaur sits and eats it nicely. My boys like this story and they answer the questions which are asked at the beginning. The words are all spread out over 29 pages with only a few words on each page which is great for my 5 year old as he is now able to read most of them by himself and is not put off by there being loads of text in the one place.
