...book as the first one, Alice in Wonderland, and it's definitely in my Top 10 list of favourite books. From the surreal train journey at the beginning to the whole journey across the chess board, it's brilliantly absurd! Not just for children, because teenagers and adults can also get a lot out of it...maybe you can try reading between the lines to find Carroll's hidden messages. It's not just a kids' story! I borrowed this book, Angela and Diabola, off my friend. The main storyline is about two twin girls(Angela and Diabola). Angela is perfect in every way and people beam with joy when they see her but Diabola is evil and people run in horror when they see her. Disadvantages: Not long enough.

This is the first in the hilarious series by Louise Rennison. When I first picked up the book, I have to admit the cover was the thing I was most transfixed with. The picture above must be a newer cover, because usually they have cartoon drawings on them and are in eye watering shades that attract attention.
