Advantages: great for younger readers
Disadvantages: too short for older readers

...However, these books are different, Salem's the main character, Sabrina is, what I would call, a co-character, and Hilda and Zelda are hardly mentioned. Now I know I'm 15 almost 16, and these books are for 5-10 year olds, but I always loved Salem, and also the biggest part he ever had on TV was the advertisement for Sabrina, do you remember that? He goes up to the production team, and creates a pitch, which starts with "Imagine an ordinary 16 year-old ...
...But I had always loved watching the advertisement. Now going back to the book, Salem is featured in a new advertisement... He is now becoming the star of the new flavour called Pretty Kitty Cat Food. One problem, Salem HATES the pretty kitty cat food as it tastes disgusting. Advantages: Good story for bedtime reading
Disadvantages: may pick up extra excuses for 5 more minutes before bed ?? ;o)

Is it bedtime, Wibbly Pig? A bedtime favorite of my little man this book sums up the bedtime routine we go through most nights and I'm sure I'm not alone.... ANY excuse to stay up 5 more minutes ! We find our friend Wibbly Pig in the bath and the tale opens with " Is it bedtime Wibbly Pig ? " to which he replies "No, silly I'm still in the bath ! " then hes drying his toes...going toilet, reading a story, having a drink, brushing his teeth, ...
...The actual book itself is a hard back with 'normal' pages. The writing is large and clear enough for my boy to read alone with plenty of ' little ' words that he knows, and is all done in a rounded childish style of font which fits in nicely. There are plenty of other Wibbly Pig books out there too (we also own "Wibbly Pig can make a tent" and "wibbly Pig opens his presents" smaller board type books) On the back of our copy it informs me it is published ... Advantages: easy to read, exciting and packed with adventure
Disadvantages: you never want it to end, but unfortunately it does!

This was one of the first children's i bought, a couple of years ago and i thoroughly enjoyed it. The author has made it funny, exciting and action packed and while they have kept a mature, adult theme, they made it also easy for a child to read and understand the jokes. The story contains all of the elements i enjoy in a good book, romance, excitement, jokes, and greek mythology! The ideas in the book really make you wonder what it would be like ... Read review
