Aapri Facial Scrub
Review of Aapri Apricot Scrub by thebookpusher

Advantages: Does an excellent job of removing dead skin cells; inexpensive; has no odor; if used correctly, keeps skin glowing; fun to share with friends.
Disadvantages: Very difficult to find this product on the market - last time I had to order from Australia!

This is the finest facial scrub I have found. I have tried samples of Bath and Body Works, Estee Lauder, Clinque, Benefits, etc. because it is so difficult to find Aapri. I really like the way that I can either lightly scrub (by adding more water to the scrub or by applying less pressure) or scrub more heavily. I do not use this more frequently than once a week and that is what I would recommend. I have been using this product since it was "new" ... Read review

I don't get what all the fuss is about
Review of Bliss Steep Clean Cleanser (For Oily / Congested Skin) by Tiffroo

Advantages: worked satisfactorily
Disadvantages: didn't wow me, over priced

I had heard that this brand had earned a cult following and was intrigued to see what the fuss was about. I have to admit now that I have tried for myself, I don't get it. OK it's not a bad cleanser... (it does the job) but I hardly think it's worth the price tag. Saying that I did find it quite gentle whilst still making my skin look clean. I liked the sent although my other half didn't and found it quite 'chemically'. It's a little thin (the consistency ... Read review

To polish your face.
Review of Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula by clarebarker

Advantages: Moisturises and exfoliates
Disadvantages: quite expensive

...since I started using the clinique three-step (soap/cleanser/moisturiser) became concious that I wasn't exfoliating my face properly. I got a free sample of teh 7 day scrub cream, and I assume (although I can't be sure!) that you are supposed to use it once a week as part of your skin-care routine. That's what I do anyway! I normally use it in the shower, so my face is already wet through, and squeeze a small amount of the product onto my hand. ...
...look like it was going to be able to exfoliate very well, as it wasn't 'lumpy' it appeared more like a cream. The micro-beads are so tiny that you can only feel them, but not see them. It is quite creamy, and moisturising, and doesn't really smell of anything. It doesn't dry skin as much as some exfoliating scrubs do, and seems to moisturise it instead. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but think this would be ok if you did have. I rub ... Read review

Dermalogica Clay Cleanser - Prayers Answered!
Review of Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser by riverdeep267

Advantages: Clears, softens & vitalizes skin
Disadvantages: Expensive

...thanks to this and the dermalogica anti-bacterial face wash. She like me, uses it to prevent and clear up the odd few spots. I have very sensitive skin therefore it is not uncommon for me to suffer a sudden flare up of painful spots. I use the clay cleanser most days and when these breakouts do occur (perhaps every 5 weeks or so) this product is excellent in calming them down. For best results you should massage it onto wet skin for approximately ...
...still a third left. Dermalogica is reknown for being the world's leading skin care brand. Unlike other cheap harsh brands such as St. Ives or Clearasil they really do offer results. This is why you would have to pay that bit extra. However in the long term I feel it is worth it as it lasts for so long. I would advise shopping around for the best price. I purchased mine new off ebay for £13. Well below the market retail price. You can also try ... Read review

Fewer spots, pores and scarring! Love it!
Review of Dermalogica Anti-bac Cleanser by E1234H1234

Advantages: Does what it says on the bottle.
Disadvantages: Only available to buy online or through a beauty therapist's.

I bought a small bottle of this along with the Multi-active Toner and oil-free Active Moisturiser. After years of stupidly sensitive skin and acne I have quite a lot of scarring and a couple of weeks ago my skin looked worse than ever and seemed to be reacting to the Simple facecare range which was previously about the only range that didn't irritate my skin. I decided it might be worth investing in a more expensive skin care regime in the hope that ...
...I bought the small sized bottles which are really poor value for money but I didn't want to risk wasting £70 odd for the full sized bottle of cleanser, toner and moisturiser. So far I am more than pleased with the results. You only need a pea sized blob of the cleanser and a drop of water for it to lather up well. I spend about 2 minutes gently cleansing. I like the smell of it and afterwards your skin feels very clean and fresh. It is recommended ... Read review
