Coffee!!
Review of Gaggia 74517 by
crazybcrich
Advantages: Good.
Disadvantages: Noisy :(
There is nothing quite as good as an exceptional cup of coffee, many a sunday morning I have put my feet up in the local coffee shop with the papers and settled down for a couple of hours enjoying the cafe's latest velvety delicacy. That was until two weeks ago when I was given this coffee grinder as a thank you present...... me grind my own coffee..... surely not.......
However the next Sunday morning I found myself unpacking this contraption and ... ...The actual grinder could not have been easier to use. Being male I naturally only briefly looked at the instruction manual before setting it all up. The instructions were straight forward and helpful. The grinder has an adjustable setting for the coureness of grind (which is extremely useful for differing types of coffee machine). You simply load up the beans, adjust the courseness and turn the dial to the correct level and press start. The beans ...

Foreplay Is Not Necessary But Always Welcome!
Review of Gaggia MM74518 WH by
bigush
Advantages: Burr not blade, cheap for the make
Disadvantages: Doesn't really need so many settings
...this review is on the Gaggia MM74518WH grinder. Having said that, try to use a stovetop percolator, you won’t regret it!
Why Use a Grinder
****************
It is of course possible to buy ready ground coffee and a couple of bags of your choice are certainly a cupboard essential, however ready ground coffee only really comes in about three main levels of grinding and the true caffeine addict will want a greater choice depending on the maker used ... ...like this grinder over my others because it is essentially simple to use and small enough not to be intrusive. Some grinders are ridiculously over complicated, it is just a mill after all. Gaggia is also an excellent make and mine shows no signs of illness after approachin 9 months. ...

Easy to use.
Review of Gaggia MM74519 by
juhims
Advantages: Easy to use
Disadvantages: Not many
Full review --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was my birthday a week ago. I'd already chosen a pair of swanky sunglases that my husband bought me. He went to town with the kids and chose this machine as a present from them.
Not quite the ideal birthday present you may think. You'd be wrong. I'm a coffee lover. We've got a built in espresso machine so a grinder is a great accessory. We've already ... ...he knew he was getting a quality product.
This grinder not only looks good on the worktop, it does a great job too. Operating it is literally child's play - my 7 and 5 old take great pleasure in demonstrating it to all visitors (I'm hoping the novelty will wear off soon as the idea is to grind it fresh each time you want a cup). With the whirl of a wheel you can choose grade the size of grind you want from very coarse to very fine, depending on ...

Grind
Review of Haden Grinder by
handjobjobby
Advantages: Very good
Disadvantages: A tad noisy
I was looking for a good sturdy reliable coffee grinder, for that fresh tasting coffee you get in coffee shops.
My wife has worked in many catering facilitys and was familiar with this make of product.
So I ordered it, and though it was not the cheapest grinder, it was far from the most expensive either.
It is very easy to work, and grind the coffee into very fine coffee, or rather course coffee.
The machine is far from quite whilst carrying ...

professional burr mill at home
Review of Cuisinart DBM8U BURR MILL (18 Position Grind) by
mjc121
Advantages: top quality, 5 year guarantee, 18 grind settings
Disadvantages: loud
If you are buying fresh coffee then unless it's in those vac packs it is always best to buy it as beans rather than having the shop grind it for you. Coffee goes stale quite quickly after it has been ground and should be used within a few days to have it at it's best. If bought as beans it will keep for up to a month and you can grind it as it is needed. It also means you can grind it to suit different machines. I use both a cafetiere and an espresso ... ...bought this coffee grinder after my cheap blade mill finally gave up. It was expensive (£56) but I had £30 worth of tokens for a well known department store so bought it as I know the name is a good one.
The major advantage is that it is a burr mill. This is where the coffee is not in constant contact with blades so the grind is more even so no more of the mix of dust and bigger lumps. The grind is done by grinding 'plates' and after it is ground ...
