I bought this for my own use at home. It was really quite easy to set up. I was quite impressed as the manual was all in enlish, unlike some products where you have to flick through all the different languages to find the english instructions!! The manual is quite big though but does have alot of info of how to use it in. ...The recording quality is fantastic though, but it does take a long time to burn things to the DVD. Another bad point about it is that it will only record on DVD-R blank disks. This is a great machine. After searching the web for a device that would play my old VHS videos and newer DVDs this came in my top 3. Then after some discussion with my son, who is a computer whizz kid, he noticed that the others did not offer DivX. Disadvantages: Dodgy menus, very disk fussy, lousy DVD burner that will fail.
