" Good Moaning"
Review of 'Allo 'Allo - Series 3 And 4 (Box Set) by goldfishlou

Advantages: Silly, cheap and fun with a range of amusing accents.
Disadvantages: Silly. Slightly dated. No extras, unlike the US edition.

...maka'. A little history; 'Allo 'Allo, which started in 1984, is actually a tribute to an older TV series, Secret Army (1977-1979). Somehow, the show hits the sweet spot between 'incredibly offensive to practically everybody' and 'lovably daft', with its merciless portrayal of hopeless stereotypes and national traits, and of course its famous method of dealing with the language barrier - simply speak with the accent of the language you're speaking ...

What a great cast and a great sount track. I saw this some years ago and had to get it on DVD as its a watch oner and over again film. With Heath Ledgerand Julia Stiles this is a must see a great teen movie which i think beats high school musical anyday and also has a bit of romance too which we all need to see every now and again. On the first day of his new school, Cameron instantly falls for Bianca the gorgeous girl of his dreams. There is one ...
...Bianca is forbidden to date, unless her boy hating older sister Kat played by Julia Stiles, goes along as well. So Cameron tries to resolve the problem by paying the only guy Patrick played by Heath Ledger, who may possibly be a match for Kat to take her to prom. Unfortunately things take a turn for the worst and it all ends up in the open that Kat's date was paid, unfortunately Kat has already fallen in love with him, but so has Patrick so the ... Is Iceland a "nice land"?
Review of 101 Reykjavik (Subtitled) (Wide Screen) by fizzytom

Advantages: Wonderful scenery, a fantastic anti-hero, Victoria Abril's performance
Disadvantages: Victoria Abril's accent difficult to understand in parts

"I'll be dead after I die. I was dead before I was born. Life is just a break from death" So says Hylnur, the lugubrious anti-hero of "Reykjavik 101". Fast approaching thirty he lives with his mother and shows no sign of leaving home or getting a job. Hylnur spends his days watching porn films and his nights in bars with his friends. Sometimes he sleeps with his "girlfriend" but spends rather more time avoiding the girl than actually in her company. ...
...mother announces that Lola, her attractive Spanish flamenco teacher is moving in with them, Hylnur shows no more interest in the news than he does in anything else. However, when his mother goes away for New Year the two are left in the house together. After a drunken evening in the bars of Reykjavik, Lola and Hylnur end up in bed. When his mother comes home she summons Hylnur to the kitchen. She and Lola are sitting there wearing very grave expressions. ... Read review
