best DVD player under £100 ever!
Review of Cambridge Audio DVD 89 by prosumer

Advantages: top quaility spec and make. mulit region
Disadvantages: remote not well thought out. Cant play VCD`s or MP3`s from the box

I got this for an Amazing £99 (the silver model is £79)witch is good considering It used to cost a penny shy of £200!. Forget getting a cheap Upscaling Samsung or Toshiba this is the real deal! The sound is great and it will make a respectable CD player in its own right especially as it can play SACD`s and DVD audio disks. and the Picture though HDMI is very good too, the only criticism is that the can be some Jagges due to it been an older player. ...
...a nice brushed aluminium cover but the buttons are a little plain and helpful features don't really stand out there are plenty of adjustment options but the menus are a bit basic looking as the user interface is exactly the same as used on most budget players. As far as connections go it has all the video sockets from basic composite video right up to HDMI (inc scart and DVI) and in addition to having stereo connectors it has optical and electrical ... Not such a bargain
Review of Alba DVD62XI by sm276

Advantages: Cheap, small
Disadvantages: Over time stops playing recorded discs

I purchased a Alba DVD62XI from Argos about a year ago as I wanted a cheap DVD player than played recorded DVDs. This is the cheapest I could find (based on other reviews that it played copied discs). The DVD player worked fine for about 3 or 4 months before I started having issues. After that time the DVD player began skipping and lost the ability to read recorded discs. Nothing had happened in that time (The player had not been dropped or even ...
...to why it happened. I know someone else who has the exact same player and they have had the same issues, although it took a little bit longer to happen. In conclusion - If you are looking for a cheap DVD player that plays recorded discs, spend a little bit more. I eventually ended up paying £25ish for a Panasonic DVD player (not sure of model) and I am much happier. ... Read review

Brilliant yet Affordable!
Review of Samsung DVD-1080 P 7 by biztrends

Advantages: With most wanted features!
Disadvantages: The issue wt da vwng mode memory!

At this price range it offers a much bigger satisfactory level for the consumer...!to some it may look too polished/shiny(jet black) but a sleek design with a blue light "power on" indicator..maybe too bright yet nice!...very simple setup menus, dolby digital decoding+DTS,HDMI upconvertion works superbly(1080P)and the supplied HDMI cable does the job well..DivX playback is supported..on screen menus are designed well and the remote also comes in handy..but ... The Well Known Brand of Aitro!
Review of Aitro DVDAW08 by JamieJCO

Advantages: Cheap, very small and compact.
Disadvantages: The "on" light comes on when it's off | Can't record | Slightly too quiet |

The Aitro DVD player is a very simple compact product, which is perfect for people either on a budget or in need of a small DVD player which will save space. It cannot record, but for around £15-20 it is still a bargain. It is very easy to install, as only 3 wires have to be plugged into the DVD player itself and 3 into the TV. It is very straight forward and the instructions walkthrough everything clearly enough. Whilst it is cheap it is definately ...
...as an expensive DVD Player, as I haven't experienced any techincal difficulties to date. As with most up to date DVD players it can play CD's and MP3s. It can be a bit quiet when playing DVD's but the only thing necessary to solve that is to turn up the TV. The remote control looks fairly cheap and tacky, but it does the job and has all the necessary functions to watch a DVD without any hassle. Overall the DVD player itself works fine, and I can ... cheap and cheerfull
Review of Toshiba SD-170 by prosumer

Advantages: good sound, good picture
Disadvantages: remotes rubish. no s-video

This was my previous DVD player that I Had bought to replace my SD 140 that was getting a bit buggy. it`s a nice small cheap player that been a brand name is step up from the £20 chepo players out there. It`s main selling point besides the make is that it offers progressive scan witch means that if you buy some "component" cables and set the player up accordingly you will get the best quality picture that standard definition can supply (providing ...
...LCD`s do) The picture is fairly good with vivid yet natural colours and movement is quite fluid. the main down side is that the picture is`t super sharp but then again this is a budget player so fair do`s The sound is very good for the price in fact I used the player as a backup CD player for my denon hi fi when it wouldn't play ball on some of my CD`s! The remote is a bit dinky and a bit cluttered but the player it`s self is layed out well and ... Read review
