Advantages: both formats in one system, great pictures as you'ld expect
Disadvantages: very very expensive, no internet output

Saw this at a friends house the other day - well i couldnt miss it since he was carping on and on about it. You might ask what all the hullabaloo was about? Well, this is the first dvd player that incorporates both blu ray and hd-dvd in one pretty little package. And that comes at one hell of a damn price. My mate brought it for close to £900 pounds and i almost hurled. I could have brought two PS3's or four XBOX 360's for that amount. Still though ...

I purchased a Alba DVD62XI from Argos about a year ago as I wanted a cheap DVD player than played recorded DVDs. This is the cheapest I could find (based on other reviews that it played copied discs). The DVD player worked fine for about 3 or 4 months before I started having issues.
