DURABRAND DVD CHEAP BUT EXCELLENT QUALITY!!!!!!!!!
Review of Durabrand DVD-2005 by
supersophie101
Advantages: value for money cinema surrondings
Disadvantages: none
...a video player/recorder to a durabrand DVD Player. We wanted one that was cheap, a good value for money and not too hard to use.
We bought it from ASDA and it came with an instruction manual, a remote, batteries for the remote, a scart lead and of course the DVD Player itself. The instuction manual tells you everything you need to know about this DVD Player with a trouble shooting page.
The instruction manual is easy to use and follow and gives ... ...ten times better.
The DURABRAND DVD 2007 plays:
>DVD VIDEOS
>ALL AUDIO CDS
>MP3 RECORDED DISCS
>CD-R & CD-RW DISCS
>JPEG PHOTO DISCS
The DVD player also has places for connections for cinema surroundings. It is slimline and fits just about everywhere. It has very good sound and picture quality and has to be the best ...and the cheapest DVD Player in the house. I would reccomend this DVD Player for anyone looking to buy one. ...

Durable, Adorable
Review of Durabrand DVD-2005 by
paulosdekathos
Advantages: cheap, simple, does what it says it does
Disadvantages: none for me, but for technoids, not enough gimmicks!
This may be one of the cheapest on the market and may not have all the whojamaphlibs that all the technoids go for, but if you are looking for a decent, sturdy and very reliable little thing to play DVDs on, then this is one for you. If you are not worried about paying a fortune for something to pay your discs on, then this is the one for you. It is a nice, simple, non offensive little thing, in a nice silver colour with a nice little dainty remote ... ...its charm. Not everyone has the time or incline to opt for your big whopper Home Cinema systems, neither do a lot of people have the money. This does what it says on the tin. It plays DVDs for you and doesn't ask anything back from you, other than you follow the warranty....maybe!
I like mine and wouldn't consider a really expensive one.
You get what you pay for. ...

Multi region?
Review of Sony DVP-NS 36 by
k8_web
Advantages: divx compatible + multi region
Disadvantages: had to do a bit of research to enable full multi region ability
I've been looking for a divx player for a while now, and wanted one with multi region capability also. I eventually bought this dvd player from amazon.co.uk, as it was clearly labelled 'multi region'.
Reading the reviews on amazon, some said it was multi region straight out of the box. For me, when putting any other region dvd other than 2, it played in black and white. After a bit of research, and thinking I'd have to fork out more money to get ... ...is multi region, but my tv was not understanding the video format of the region 1 disc. A simple solution I discovered is simply to change the colour settings on the dvd menu (when there is no disc in it) to RGB.
Having achieved this, I am now a very happy customer! All region discs now play in full colour, as do divx formats, CD-RW etc.
On top of the function, the box is a sleek looking player. Very slim and very pretty. Furthermore I got it for ...

hd-dvd get one while you can !!!!
Review of Toshiba HD-E 1 by
colin_bradbury
Advantages: as good as blu-ray , extreamly cheap , bargins to be had everywhere
Disadvantages: no longer supported format
..., with the announcement that Toshiba is to withdraw from the hd race for the next format it leaves hd-dvd players in a very poor position in the market place , however do not let this put you off , there is already a great library off hd-dvd discs out there and as there is no region coding on the discs ,this means you can order via eBay direct from use for even more titles , of course the likelihood of new movies coming out on this format are very ... ...and the latest firmware via Toshiba brings it right unto date with picture and sound , if your savvy you can get one of these and a collection of discs for a fraction of the price of a blu-ray player and start enjoying high definition discs , the money you save get be put to one side to but a blu-ray / ps3 when they inevitably come down in price later this year ...

VERY SLIM DVD PLAYER---GOOd CHOICE
Review of Samsung DVD-F1080 by
123ejv
Advantages: most popular multimedia formats, upconver, small Compact
Disadvantages: No display on unit
Small Compact, reads most format DVD, Upconver
No display on unit (but its on screen if needed)
"Overall Im happy with purchase. you cant go wrong with it. The remote is a bit small but works great. I have ordered an HDMI cable and cant wait to see how good the upconvertion is."
plays the most popular multimedia formats like DivX, MP3, WMA, JPEG and MPEG-4 clips. Slim, Why have a huge dvd player when you know the guts only take up a small fraction ... ...One HDMI cable is so nice as well. DVDs look great on my 42"" 1080i LCD tv.
But setup menu is REALLY slow to respond. No bundled HDMI cable, just a completely useless RCA cable.Weird buttons on the top. I wish they'd just have front buttons so I can stack stuff on it - but I guess it looks cooler. ...
