This isn't actually just a dvd player, this model is vcr/dvd combi, but for some reason it isn't in that section. Anyway, I bought this model for something like £80 from Currys as I needed a cheap combi. We had never heard of the brand before so were a bit dubious, and the salesperson was trying harder than normal to get us to buy it which didn't help, but it is a good combi. ...set up and program, looks nice (it's silver) and it fits on a standard tv/video wall bracket. It's not fancy, but it doesn't try to be. It's cheap and easy to use and that's the main thing. Advantages: Well built, great picture quality clear menus. It's great in the car too.
Disadvantages: The sound is good for sub $250 player but could be louder from speakers.

I have recently bought one of these whilst visiting friends in Europe and was amazed by the quality for such a relatively inexpensive item ($240). The picture is fantastic and clear considering it's only a 7" screen and with widescreen format we know have our own in flight cinema. Advantages: USB, DivX, multi-region
Disadvantages: Periodically loses multi-region, no USB access from remote

Had this player for over a year now and has been brilliant all round. Used remote hack to make multi-region and changed video system from PAL to NTSC (hold Pause until display on player flashes) to stop judder on playback. Has played everything I've thrown at it. It did lose it's multi region setting recently but used remote hack to re-set factory settings and then Zoran file burnt to CD to access region setting menu and now fine again. One drawback ...
...have to press a button on the DVD player to access the USB stick and this can't be done on the remote. Not a major problem though. Has HDMI out which provides better picture quality. Coaxial out for digital sound. Decodes Dolby 5.1 and DTS. As a bonus, it looks pretty sleek too. ... Read review

This DVD player is the one that i have in my lounge and is a great one in my eyes and i think i will have it for years to come. It goes very well with my sony LCD HDready television and was very easy to set up and also very quick. There are a few firmware faults with this model, for example it sometimes won't play a DVD on initial startup and you have to restart the player as it just blue screens.
